Bench, scratch, trade Cousins. So often he takes stupid penalties and the team gets punished for that. These two games that happened again and it cost us very important points.

Just finished watching the game after work at 2am. He'll of a game. Lyons made some amazing saves. We had some perfect opportunities that were missed. Were still leaving guys in the crease smh Ecky should have boxed Crosby out of the crease! Thanks Eric!

Typical ekblad behavior. He's more interested in scoring than actually playing some defense. I LOVE Barkov, but I agree he's been pretty absent as our Captain. Need to have more accountability from these guys. Too many stupid penalties, and again plenty of missed calls. What's up with Spence??????
The calls at the end.. so typical NHL double standard. Gino TOSSED Lyons stick and gets zero penalty. UH playing without your helmet.. penalty but not if you are the Pens. Its crap.
Same problems again, the team needs to know when you take a risk, step up and go for an attack, and then when you need to play safe.
Mistake 1, only 40 seconds left in the second period, Panthers playing 4 against 5. The only thing you need to do is to play safe, puck in the neutral zone, and Ekblad doesn´t recognize that Crosby is behind him. Forsling is turning the wrong way and Crosby is skating totally uncovered. C´mon guys, pick up Crosby in the neutral zone, that's the only thing you need to do. Why Ekblad goes forward (again) and Forsling is turning to the border, not to the middle of the ice to take Crosby, is a mystery? So stupid, don´t take any risks at the end of the period, the team needs to play smart and avoid those mistakes that you see done by juniors

This game was disgusting, for both sides. I think if Knight was played, you guys win that one. The Penguins were definitely not on their game last night.

I know that Paul Maurice is a veteran coach, he knows this better than me. But the message from the coaching staff is not reaching the players. Panthers plays in the D-zone are without any structure, the players are making so many mistakes game after game. You have two D-men, close to the goal they should play zone defense, BOX OUT, BOX OUT, BOX OUT, and stay home. Read and react where the puck and the other players are. It´s called LOW D.
The center forward is playing man-to-man defense, he needs to pick up the most dangerous man in the scoring area. From the weak side can the winger drop down and support the D-men and the center forward.
Again R Gudas had a total mental collapse in the D-zone. He starts to chase the Pittsburg forward, leaving his position in the D-zone, then we have the winger coming too late to help the goalie, and Pittsburg scores.
Barkov is playing a lot in the D-zone, he has to correct the mistakes done by the D-men and there is no energy left in him to attack, especially in the third period. It´s better to have Luostarinen as a center forward, he can skate and doing a hell of a job in the D-zone (as Bennet also is doing). The rest of the center forwards can not play well enough in the D-zone. It must be a nightmare to play a center forward in Panters with this defense.
C´mon Paul Maurice, play a simple LOW-D, BOX OUT, and start the attacks without risks.
