  1. Yes, that 2:2 was defintely:
    We are the oilers !
Sometimes, we get calls by the refs, but most of the time, they are screwing us.
This was far more of a goalie interference compared to Hyman's the game vs the canucks.
Now, what can we do about the bs bias in the league ?
    Nothing.

  2. Could tell from the first 7 minutes of the Ched broadcast that this was not a game I was going to care about missing!
Can woodcroft play go back to cycling lines and giving other players minutes?!?!!!

  3. Why? Woodcroft IMHO
From my view from the balcony Woodcroft used the blender on the lines for the whole game… 27 giveaways only highlighted the fact that everyone had no clues on where their linemates were going. That's on Woodcroft. Despite the fact Woody has been able to adapt positively in the past to what isn't working… NOT tonight. Giving "orange slices" to the bottom 6/5 is OK in the minors. This is the pros… Wins count. NOT orange slices… Wake UP. Oil: 1 point Kraken: 2 points.

  4. After a couple days off, the Oilers should get Tony Robbins in the locker room for a pregame pep talk.

  5. My summary of tonight’s game: My pizza and beer was great, the Oiler’s play not so much 😮😢😮

  6. …listening to Bruce at the end………… I have to totally agree. Except to point out that Woodcroft didn't take this team seriously… see below.

  7. More evidence that hard work can win over talent. Teams in general now seem to play keep away in OT until McD and Dria are off the ice, then they go more attack. It's been working. I give this 4 corncobs out of 17.

  8. The team played for about 10 minutes then quit. Must have been quite some time off there. The boys are still on vacation.

  9. Bruce said exactly my feeling about the game. Prior to the game I was worried about the Oils chances as the team nearly always plays down to the competition. Listening to the coaches comments after the game made me wonder what game he was looking at!

  10. Urgency is 9/10ths of the law for this team~too much success lately & with time off to come out focused and prepared to beat a bottom dweller..textbook Edmonton~ NOT A MUST WIN and thus a dizzy performance. Edmonton's success with urgency is all internal ~ I think JAy can create good matchups with X's and O's but he cant pull out the urgency ~ only the guys can do it….. and the "we need to prove something" wasn't present after winning 6 straight. This team looks checked out mentally for the All Star game. Woodcroft didnt have the guys in it mentally. And I'm not sure he is the guy to do it on cue. 11 Icings and 27 giveaways says it all.

  11. Draisaitl is notorious for staying on the ice far too long and can't skate as he is too tired and ends up costly

  12. Well, let's start with 29, he hasn't been engaged for the last four games and tonight was the worst and I had him at 8 giveaways all by hisself, seems to be a step behind the play, maybe he's doing the Johnny Bench Betway. Bouchard oh my word I really wonder what makes you do the things you do, like really up the middle in your own end and those non connecting stretch passes. A lot of icing for a team that has trouble winning face offs in there own end. WOODCROFT, dude if you can't see that Draisaitl is struggling, wow. Play the players that played there heart out in OT like Ryan, Puljujarvi and good lord NOT Nurse. Lastly Gavrikov played 10x better than most of our D tonight so feel free to pull the trigger on this guy. Columbus BJ's beat us let that sink in. I'm serious about Betway. 🤪

  13. coach demands preparation and consistency but tonight neither happened. coach also had no success in creating a positive response from his team, they made the same mistakes from start to finish very disappointing

  14. You guys have to find some consistancy ,IMHO Bruce looks better on the right side of my screen AS I VIEW IT, or lets have a Vote, enough musical chairs. Oilers were Outcoached by a country mile. The Players all showed up but the BJs executed extremely tight consistent fluid Gapping and they owned the N-zone, clearly the Oil were outcoached. Paul Coffey must have taken the night off as we saw very few and poorly executed adjustments by the Oilers — seemed like zero pre-game preparations. This ones on the Coaches. Desperately trying to throw Skinny under the Bus was poor time management you were just bored. Skinny pulled hard on the Rope, his men were Outcoached and consequently outplayed, how else do the Oilers lose to the BJs? Is this picking on the Goalie thing "catchy" and maybe a reflection of Oilers Culture? Because on the Ice the Players dont rally around their Goalie anymore not since Smitty left. Skinny has been hung out to dry 7 times by my count.A Rookie All-Star who gets hung out to dry at any point is a reflection of Culture and Internal Leadership questions yet here we sit picking on Goalies because we are bored. Playoffs are almost here its time to get down to business. Jesses entire line is a HEAVY FAST LOAD and opponents cannot contain their energy game,Holloways looking good to.

  15. This is the type of effort that makes you think this team is absolutely not yet a contender. Inexcusable effort. Execution terrible. Resting on laurels of a winning streak that barely got them over the playoff cutoff line. 29 has had quite a few poor games this year but I’m gonna say it: i did not like 97s game tonight either & they led the way to a deserved loss. Lucky loser point. Move on! Also ditch those cursed jerseys!

  16. I thought the defenseman was being held behind the net, couldn't get back to the other side to clear the puck

  17. You can't say we lost because of Korpisalo. Had he not made that save on Drai then Hyman doesn't get his goal. Saying the goalie beat us in that game is an excuse for this teams continued lackluster performances against lower competition. What's more likely the Oilers don't show up in these games or every bottom dweller team in the league is getting Vezina caliber goaltending when they play the Oilers? This team thinks they are owed wins against "lesser" teams.

  18. Not sure what you're seeing in Barry defensively tbh…that line leaks a huge amount of grade A chances against.

  19. The Siberian high must have hit Edmonton early. You froze up twice and for quite awhile especially on the second freezing!!!

  20. Haven't seen the fanbase this mad in awhile about getting a point. The team can't blame us as this should have been a 4-2 win easy. Total lack of compete from the majority of the players on home ice of all places.

  21. Bouchard looks like he is on sedatives most nights. Resign him for 900k or under. Other than that. Trade bait or he can walk.

  22. Is it just me or do the oilers just wilt like a dying flower 🥀 when kane isn't in the lineup….maybe kane should be wearing a big A on his jersey in stead….?

  23. I am not a JP fan by any means but the guy was flying tonight. I did not see much of him if at all in the 3rd period. Explain that to me.

  24. I would keep PLRV as a 3rd line winger, and trade Ryan, Shore & Yama. PLRV plays good when hes employed as a checker with no pressure to score or produce. Management have messed him up by playing him in the top 6 where he doesn't belong imo, and this was mainly because of his performance at the World Juniors that one year . Management and the Coach need to understand PLRV is NOT a POWER FORWARD but a checker, He will not get us 30 – 40 goals a year. GET THAT THROUGH YOUR HEADS! …… And stop trying to trade PLRV!, he can be useful as a checker who can chip in the odd goal! Keep him as a 3rd 4th line winger but pay him accordingly, might be over paid at the moment. iMO We already have the bottom 6 player KH is looking for. However, keep looking for that 2nd pairing shutdown Dman we urgently need!

  25. Mcdavid has 89 points in 49 games and is a +1.

And with how lazy Draisaitl is, explains why this team got swept twice.

  26. I love these 2 hosts…..the are so vibrant and compelling..NOT :):) I say this with love

  27. Definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result, our carousel of goaltenders will never get better when we continue to keep the same goaltending coach. 25:55 25:55

  28. Good podcast, predictably poor Oiler performance vs last place team
No leadership, and I include the coaches

  29. Mental immaturity. Add in the 5 pts lost to these lowest 3 teams (Ducks, Hawks, Jackets, two at home in front of paying fans) and see how much higher in the standings we would've been. It very well could mean loss of home ice, if not the playoffs altogether.

They had similar losses in the first half last year, then had to burn a lot of energy in the playoff push, which hurt them in the post-season. They gotta "take care of business" like the Bruins.

  30. Rancid game by the Oilers. Suprised to see Draisaitl not on that list of turnovers. I thought he had at least 3 or 4 no look backhand passes that were blatent giveaways
