Reaves is almost too good of a fighter for today’s NHL that nobody is even willing to fight him except a few guys and they even look overwhelmed.
Btw I really like Deslauries. Id rather have him on the 4th line than a random soft fringe NHLer who has more skill but doesnt score either and ultimately does nothing but just skate and dump and chase. Deslauries is also a legit good PKer.
Giving a 4 yr deal with a 2 year NTC to a goon sounds crazy and kind of is but its a sub 2 mil cap hit and he wasnt being traded in the 1st 2 years anyway so the NTC is meaningless.
We laugh at intangibles but Deslauries legit brings value with his intangibles and make the Flyers a much tougher team to play which is genuinely important and a problem in the past. Of course we had/have far bigger problems that involve talent but Deslauries at least helped with one and brings some excitement too.
