@Canucks de Vancouver

    Corey Pronman’s early opinion as of Nov 10th, 2022:
    >1. Macklin Celebrini, C, Chicagọ-USHL Celebrini is the odds-on favorite to be the No. 1 pick in the 2024 NHL Draft as it stands right now. He’s an electric offensive player with high-end skill and creativity with the puck and can make a lot of difficult plays with good pace. He has the outstanding scoring ability, but given his average frame I love how hard Celebrini works on the ice to go with his offensive talent. He looks like a guy who has separated from the pack for next year’s draft as it stands right now.

    I am stoked to see another well-connected kid finally get that opportunity his family has worked so hard at creating.

    Was very dominant in Shattuck, and has been lights out this year in the USHL (projected to be second in scoring and isn’t 17 until mid June, we’ll after the season has ended). Commited to BU for the 25/26 year but will probably go early. Both him and Bedard played with each other at the NSWC when they were younger before they both split off in Bantam

    Imagine we win the Bedard lottery this year and get the islanders unprotected 1st next year to draft Celebrini. Two local kids leading the future charge 😍.

    Are there any twins available?

    I think the realistic and safer bet is for the Canucks to get a 15-20 pick this year, but it is fun to think about the isles just having a bad 15 months…

    More realistically I’d be more interested in his dad.

    Firing Rick, Roger and the old med squad and replacing them with cheaps who don’t know a broken hand if it slapped them was a great move Fran.

    Drafting the son of a rehab director would definitely break our injury recovery curse.

    Unrelated but I just want to point out that in 2025, one of the top prospects is named Roger McQueen and he’s 6’5
