Samedi soir, l’attaquant des Ducks d’Anaheim Trevor Zegras a dit quelque chose au défenseur des Coyotes de l’Arizona Troy Stecher qui l’a déclenché. Dimanche, Stecher a refusé de commenter, mais un tweet de Brad Marchand a suscité des questions dans la ligue : qu’a dit Zegras et a-t-il franchi une ligne ? Qu’est-ce qui est considéré comme inapproprié et trop loin lorsqu’il s’agit de gazouillis sur la glace?

  1. I'm all for player safety. I'm all for fighting racism, preventing someone from making personal threats, or acting in a way that isn't related to the sport.

    Policing what someone is saying outside of those instances seems like the overstep to me. The NHL doesn't need an HR department on the ice.

  2. This should be a non issue. Turns out that players are people and not all of them want to be emotionless robots. I know the geezers in the league don't like this, but this just isn't the 1992 NHL. Can we not freak out every time a player says something potentially spicy.
