Matthews was missed..but more concerning most or all of the bruins fowards looked bigger then torontos defense. They play softer then the Pillsbury dough man. Shanahan has to recognize this and fix it or They're not beating Tampa or Boston in the playoffs.

Samsonov should’ve stopped the shot that would put the Bruins up 2-1, a goal that I thus classify as ugly. Yet subpar defence let him down bigly. What GM Dubas does during the All-Star Break is TBD but unless Matthews returns to the Leafs’ lineup for the first game following said break, the Leafs are likely to continue being in trouble unless Dubas starts remaking that bottom-six forward group (Jarnkrok the ONLY member of that group to put up a point).
Bruins vs Maple Leafs is always a really entertaining match. Not only because of the bitter rivalry, but also because of the fact that both teams are really aggressive and competitive in play style and they’re really similar in skill level. You’ve (normally) got guys like Matthews, Tavares, Marner and Nylander matched up against guys like Pastrnak, Bergeron, Marchand, and Krejci. So much fun! Go B’s 🐻💛🖤
