  1. I can see the islanders getting a better return then we did for him. I really hope they have a gentleman’s agreement not to do that or Allvin has the potential to look quite foolish here.

  2. maybe lou wanted it done early so he could flip bow at the deadline if a playoff spot is outta the picture and lou wont even come close to what van got I thk van did awsome in this trade The way i look is 3 1st rounders and managment said younger players that need a restart

  3. Imagine if they took miller off our hands cause him and bo somewhat had chemistry? Would be a godsend.

  4. It would be a terrible look for Lou if he had to trade Horvat before the deadline… but I guess the Islanders have also been a farce like the Canucks in so many ways so it would not have surprised me.

The Horvat trade, IMHO, can be seen as both good or bad depending on how you view the context. It is bad in the sense that the organization should have never gotten itself into this position. The Canucks got themselves into this bind by signing Miller and a bunch of wingers that they have no cap room to sign Horvat, arguably a much more valuable player than Miller, and were forced to trade away a valuable player, but given how the Canucks have completely handcuffed themselves into this position, to be able to get a first rounder and Raty in return (I look at Beauvillier as a de-sweetener that actually decreases the value of the return) is decent.

  5. If you know how Lou operates, there is zero chance he flips him again. They may already have him signed and just haven't announced it yet.

  6. Very possible. Could actually turn into a nightmare for the Canucks. The Isles have been trying to get rid of Beauvillier all year and they finally got the Canucks to take the bad contract. If the Isles keep losing and it don't look like they are going to make it, the Canucks could lose the draft pick for this year and would have to pick next year in a weaker draft year. The Isles could trade for a number one pick and a good prospect just as a rental and could take a run at Bo on July 1st knowing full well what it would take to get it done. This could result in the Canucks draft pick being a late first rounder or basically a second round pick. Lou could also low Bo big time and hope he takes the deal and would be happy to get a player who is getting better every year and would be able to outperform his low ball contract. I am sure there are a lot of scenarios that could play out, but for Canuck fans the one that most of us are all in on is the Bomb for Bedard campaign.

  7. I think that this was a good trade for both teams, again either the Canucks or Isles could lose this trade if Horvat doesn’t resign or if the Canucks don’t get what they want from the 1st overall pick.

  8. LMAO… wtf.. I don't follow NYI, so just realized Barzal signed a long term contract for 9.15m. omg… How do you give that much to a guy that's been pt/game ONCE in his career. He's an avg 65-70pt player. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL. BoHo got traded to the right team. He's going to get PAID like 11mil based on NYI logic.

  9. I wouldn’t be surprised if Lou be like, “let me show you the true value of a player like Bo Horvat, watch and learn Rookie!”

Then trades Horvat for Zegras or something crazy like that. Lol

  10. What if bo slumped after the all star break ?very likely and there goes one of the players or picks coming back .fact is they traded bo when his value will never be higher

  11. If the Islanders trade Bo back to the Western Conference, it will confirm my suspicion that there might have been a better trade offer than the one the Canucks accepted, for obvious reasons, they didn't want to trade within the Conference or especially the division. That to me makes sense. Bo might not be a 50 goal player going forward, but he's still an excellent 60

  12. Since he still needs to be resigned, this trade just doesn't make a whole lot of sense for the Islanders.

  13. So happy isles finally got Bo. Think it’s a fair trade for both sides. Have to say if Lou makes another move this is going to be a solid isles roster that can finally compete

  14. I could see NYI moving Bo again… But not in the next week or so. I think how things go for them between now and the trade deadline will make a huge difference in thinking. If they get back into the heat of the playoff hunt.. He's not going anywhere…But, if they fall out or just further out, I expect they will move him before potentially losing him at years end when he's a UFA. The fact is, if NYI's don't make the playoffs and Bo walks… They lose this trade badly.

  15. Mock trade for your entertainment:

    To ANA: JT Miller
    Tyler Myers (50% retained)

    To VAN: Maxime Comtois
    Ryan Strome

  16. trade him for something way better and expose allvin lol

did you hear the canucks are trading thatcher dem-no and signing jarry in the summer

  17. Lou made the best decision possible. He bought to see if the team can turn around but if they don’t, he can easily sell Bo at a similar, maybe even higher price. He created a situation where he can’t lose.

  18. If NYI trade away Bo and NYI also start to tank, Vancouver is hoping the other teams below NYI to tank even harder, so Vancouver can draft that 1st round pick this year. XD

  19. No no no , it's just wrong ! Don't care what they got in return . They should have signed Bo in the summer and traded Miller for whatever they could have got .

  20. I don't doubt that they'd pay 9 mill, not extending him is every NHL media pundit's wet dream, these guys get a kick, a real verve, from shitting on the Islanders.
Its almost as if the media cartel hasn't forgiven the Isles for forging a dynasty that's more impressive than any Canadian team. No other team has won nineteen straight playoff series. Of course the Habs will always be the marquee team of the NHL.

  21. What did the Canucks offer Horvat ? 8×8 or 7×8? 8.5 per? Come on I don’t see him signing with the islanders 7×8. He either wants to win or wants $$

  22. And he could resign with Vancouver thus offseason, it won’t happen but sure would be awesome to have Bo an extra first and some prospects
