    I read an article like a month or so ago about Hagel being the guy that will be Palat's replacement and I told myself I don't think he's there yet but man Hagel has impressed me a lot he's definitely stepped up and is on his way.

    First time listening to these broadcasters. The play-by-play guy does a fantastic job. The other announcer, though… not good.

    Great game from start to finish. Moments like 4:22 are what I particularly like about Phil. Not many announcers are willing to call a stupid play/action/call what it is, a stupid thing to do. You can feel the frustration from him coming through the mic, that single moment has more real emotion than a lot of announcers muster up all game. Phil's commentary reminds me a lot of what I hear when watching the game with friends or my father. We're often yelling very similar things. For example, at 5:04 while watching the game we were saying the same thing about what a stupid penalty it was. Funny to realize later that Phil was basically saying the same thing around the same time.
