The LeBreton Flats idea has been attempting for the last decade…..it hasn't happened, and I doubt it ever will. I LIVE in Ottawa….and it's been a joke here for years. Even the Sens fans that DO live in Ottawa (which are only about 30% of NHL fans in the city ), know this. The BEST thing for this franchise would be to Move. Several other cities have buildings ready to go, and with better locations, and would only need slight upgrades. Most people in Ottawa STILL cheer for the Leafs or Habs.

Chychrun won't play in Ottawa….that's for sure. He wants to be in a BIG market with a chance to contend. Not a team that doesn't make the playoffs…..he was already on a team like that …..I'd say LA is the most likely spot.

Good signings by the Caps—-The All-Star activities were fun, especially the games. Next time in Toronto sounds good to me. NHL going to Australia sounds great, altho that's a looooong way to travel. There will be major changes coming in STL, with a few more veterans departing.

Leafs need size and jam and two way play. Tavares needs help down low and a net front presence. They also need bottom 6 help with grit. Of course a D-man. Kane's not a good fit.

All Star weekend was trash they gotta do something to fix this man, US views dropped 25% in a year thats not good for the league. It really can be traced back to dealing with Disney/ESPN and getting it on ESPN+. On paper you'd think it's a good partnership but between blackouts and ESPNs refusal to even showcase the talent it's a problem . Not to mention the broadcasts lack personalities. What Crosby said the other day about 1v8 2v7 3v6 4v5 seeded playoffs should come back is spot on these divisional formats are garbage, it's like they're trying to push rivalries instead of letting them naturally develop in the playoffs like they historically have. Australia is a bad move, there's no ice in Australia and the time zone separation creates broadcast issues.
