This is great stuff….That was quite a year, it seemed like better things were bound to follow
Great season for them but it was short-lived. They were mediocre for the next couple years then hit bankruptcy as a franchise. Then Demers came in and got a lot out of a lunch pail gang. The net truly great Blues team was probably 1990-91 and they were also upset in the 2nd round.
They almost got transfered to Saskatoon.
They barely got by Pittsburgh in the 1st round.
That Blues team was pretty stacked offensively- 10 20-goal scorers and 5 30-goal scorers.
Mike Liut won the Lester B. Pearson award for this season, and was the runner-up to Gretzky for the Hart Memorial Trophy. The great Mike Liut.
