Well, now we know why Poile waived Tolvanen and sent Tomasino down to Milwaukee. We have a logjam on the top 6 that is preventing younger players from getting top line minutes. This is why Parssinen is currently playing 4th line despite showing his talent when he was on the top line during his debut.

This article just makes me even more frustrated. Poile says he thinks just making the playoffs is a big accomplishment and then admits because of his age and contract status that he doesn’t think long term like he used to. That’s exactly what’s got us all into this mess.

[Tomasino] “The thought process is we needed him to play higher in our lineup and we gave him lots of opportunities to play on the top two lines, I felt, during training camp.”

Ah, yes, training camp. Definitely shouldn’t be looking at the 32 points he had last season playing those 12 minutes in the bottom 6. Was Tomasino’s “opportunity to play” the same opportunity they gave Tolvanen?

ASSHAT Still using training camp as an excuse to not play talent…. Even though AHL call ups have been more consistently a value add than lots of our veteran contracts. Gtfo poile

This should be a cool and calm comment section lol

Fuck off Poile you have not taken responsibility for waiving Tolvanen until you are fired.

Maybe he got bumped down because John Hynes is a dogshit coach? Ever think about that one?

Is John Hynes’ job in jeopardy?

Poile: « Absolutely not. I think our coaching staff does a great job. It’s frustrating as to what’s taking place this season but in terms of their work on a daily basis, the preparation of our team, how we want to play. We all share in this. I’m the one who got the players here. So it starts with me, as it should, in terms of choosing the right players, doling out the correct contracts. … We had nine guys that had career years last year. We have zero players having what I would call classic career years (this season). We all need to do better. »

    Actual L O L. We are fucked

My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined

Gotta say, these were some great questions. Surprised Poile was willing to answer them. But those answers were hard to hear. It’s time for change.

David Polie has zero issue with taking the blame, because he has full control of his job. Constantly covers for people because he won’t get fired and that’s the problem this organization has right now

John Hynes has never had a team above .600 and he’s only won 3 playoff games in his NHL career. I really don’t know what management sees in him.

Regarding retirement, we’re all aware that you’re not thinking long term…. *how short* term are you thinking though…?

These last few years have just eroded my respect for the man. There is something admirable about chasing your dream so long, but when it starts doing damage to the thing you claim to love and the fans are at this level of desperation, How can you just selfishly sit by and act as if nothing’s wrong?
