Bratt should not be getting 8mil+. 7.5 to Bratt and 8.5 to Meier and the Devils will be cup contenders for the reminder of their contracts.

  2. I think we will get Timo Meier I’m almost positive it just seems like it’s Timo’s destiny to come here to NJ! 🔥🔥🔥🖤 especially Meier a 30+ Goal Scorer, also no Brock isn’t a fit, Brock isn’t a fit for us here, we need Timo and I don’t believe that Brock talked to NJ cause if you look it up on the internet it doesn’t say we talked to Brock, that page lies a lot.

  3. Give Bratt 7.5 and Timo 8.5 also I think Tom Fitzgerald hasn’t made a move yet cause he’s really trying to get Timo Meier for the best possible deal that there is, that’s why I think it’s taking a long time.

  4. I say Option A is we get Timo Meier and Max Domi I’d be satisfied, but if not then Option B is Patrick Kane & Max Domi In a package deal with Chicago I could see that happening too, our rumors with Kane have ramped up too a lil now and also we had scouts at The BlackHawks home last night looking at Domi and Patty Kane.

  5. I have been having this gut feeling for awhile that Tom is gonna pull out the Timo Meier trade, cause Tom Fitzgerald was gonna get Johnny Hockey for 9+ mill but he chose to go to Columbus, we can get Timo Meier though! 😈🔥 probably for 8.5 mill

  6. Resign Bratt and maybe some small depth trades. Going for a big trade in free agency usually back fires, lose assets and over pay for little return. The team has already accomplished far more than expected.

  7. It would be great to sign Jesper and Timo, but I'm still unconvinced Fitzgerald will sign either of them. I hope I'm wrong. Miles used to fight for anyone on the team at any time… but after sitting a year out with that tragic injury, he's not the same player. Yeah with small forwards we are precariously without punching power right now. I'm remembering Cam Janssen – I was at a game once where he scored one that bounced in off his ass. LMAO

  8. Yeah Barbashev is a winning player who I like a lot. He was a beast during the blues Cup run. He would lead the Devils in hits by a mile, actually so would Timo.

  9. The disrespectful treatment Nico has been receiving by his own teammates is troubling. You can't allow your captain to be pushed around. I worship this team but lack of physical presence must be addressed. Woody can't do it anymore.

  10. I agree with everything you said. We definitely need some guys that will protect our star players. Otherwise, come playoff time the Devils may as well reserve a hospital room for Jack. Referees let more go in the playoffs and of course teams are going to target Jack big-time, as well as Nico, Bratt, etc.

  11. If NJ is going to go all in on Meier, it's going to cost them a LOT, as we all know. And what worries me more and more is how steep that price is going to be now that NYR, BUF, TOR are all reportedly interested in him, as well, which means that bidding war is going to drive the price up dramatically. Looking at Horvat getting 8.5 x 8, it's very hard to believe that Meier would accept less than 9M AAV and that could price NJ out of being able to hold onto Bratt simply due to how much cap space will be taken up.

So, that said, if Fitz can't pull off another swindle, I think the smart thing to do is to go after guys who cost less and can add to that bottom 6 and possibly add to the D, particularly the grit and snarl that this team lacks. Boeser would be a good fit but NJ would have to bank on him having a bounce back in a new environment (which is realistic). But that would help the Hughes line and especially the powerplay. Barbasev and Domi are both good targets to add to the sandpaper needs and I wouldn't be shocked if we saw a deal for Luke Schenn included in a trade for Boeser if that move gets made. I think Holtz is definitely going to be on the move as the most valuable piece, so if not Meier, the trade he would be involved in should sway a lot in favor for NJ's return.

  12. I like the idea of obtaining Barbashev . He is a gritty type that blooms in the playoffs . Probably the most frequently called name during StLouis cup run .

  13. After seeing what Trouba did to Kadri, adding some bangers and crashers is not a bad idea. Once the playoffs start, all of our top players are going to have a target on their jerseys.

  14. Thanks for the breakdown, not much talk about Barbashev. I like the grit and skating that Barbashev would bring but he does not bring much goal scoring. He would be a good add but another bottom six to push Holtz and Zetts. Ultimately, toughness and speed are things Fitz should seek. I would not want a slower skater like Boeser, who might take away from the Devils style. His scoring is also not consistent. I say it's Timo and if that does not work out then a player like DuClair.

  15. Barbashev brings a lot to the table. Grit, edge, sandpaper, character, scoring touch, sht disturber in front of the net, and a Stanley Cup ring into the dressing room. He's built for playoffs, and at his salary, lot of teams will be interested. Boeser I'm not as gung ho about. Seems he gets hurt a lot, and can be streaky when it comes to scoring. He's way overpaid, so Canucks would definitely need to retain about 1.25M in salary. Meier is the obvious 1st choice, but as you say, can they afford him going forward? Excellent video as always.

  16. I predict the Devils will get Boeser instead of Meier. If the Devils get Batbashev, they would have to give him a multi year extension, because they aren't going for rentals.

  17. I mean not acquiring Timo but going after 2 guys like Boeser and Barbashev could be a solid move as well. Definitely would add a bit more quality depth and I've always like the idea of having a lot of "good" players over a few "great" players. Which this situation could turn into.
