[Brennan Vogt] Cale Makar est de retour à Denver à coup sûr puisqu’il a pris la glace avec Darren Helm ce matin.

He’s skating, definitely a good sign.
I imagine if he were having any serious post concussive symptoms he wouldn’t even be sniffing the ice right now. Hopefully he dodged a bullet.
I know I’m pissing into the wind here, and feel free to either pile on or tell me I’m wrong.
But I feel like DoPS needs to be held accountable, and I don’t mean to the fans. We’d really just be second hand reaping the rewards. Like McGahey said last night « there’s probably some folks at this game wanting to see Cale and don’t get to. »
Here’s what I think: the Concussion spotters should also be logging stuff (Like Carter’s hit on Cale) for post-game DoPS review. I acknowledge this could be a dozen or so per game which could amount to (I did the math) TENS OF THOUSANDS of plays in a season. Still it would be nice to have a PUBLICLY published report, even just weekly.
Let’s shine a light on repeat offenders (Like Pavelski and Greenway). Heck, Let’s call out Poor team cultures! Let’s stop letting this shit happen to ANY players, let alone stars like Crosby, McDavid, MacKinnon and Makar. Let’s hold the DoPS to a professional level of consistency and to their responsibility to current players, AND TO CHILDREN AND YOUTH learning to play and love the game.
It would be nice to have the power and platform to change this. I would love to see player safety become important, not just « well gee, that’s just hockey I guess. » MOOSEMUFFINS!! it’s not!
It’s great that he’s skating. It could have been much worse
Gonna go against the grain and say it wasn’t suspendable. Cale was playing the puck in the air and turned. Carter was skating in to play the puck and didn’t do anything to change course and go for the head. It’s unfortunate but just because there was head contact doesn’t make it wrong.
Since he was hit on uh, frozen, uh, what we bieleve to be, frozen water, a recovery attempt will be made
