  1. Toy may be dreaming there expecting a 1st. Look what the Kings paid for Fiala. Now compare Edmundson to Fiala. They paid a 1st and a defenseman prospect. Heck, let's look at that prospect, Brock Faber. Edmonson's peak production compares to what Faber is foing in college this year. In fact, Edmondson and Faber were picked at virtually identical draft positions. What does Edmundson have that Faber doesn't have? Size and one good season the year Faber was draft. Faber has youth and potential over Edmundson, and was traded. I would be surprised if Blake, not one to be fleised, offered more than a 3rd round pick or onw or two low mid tier prospects for Edmundson. I see him as a 3rd or fourth option in Blake's trade plans. I know you love your Habs, but the Kings GM is not Rob Pelinka, thank goodness. He's been patient, and I would be surprised if he overpaid for Chychrun, ker alone Edmundson. Throw in Suzuki if you want to see 1st out of LA.

  2. If I’m kicking the tires on Eddie, I’m asking my medical people if his back troubles could be chronic. My guess, and I’m no Dr, is that they are. Ergo, I’d tell my GM to pass on him—or make a lowball offer for his services. Think 3rd round pick, 2nd tops.

  3. Kings fan… yeah I like Jordan Spence, so I don’t want him to go anywhere. But I agree the Kings need D. I was hoping for the Kings to trade Edler and Durzi to the Sharks for Karlsson and bring up Spence. The Kings have a lot of good young players in their Farm system that just need a little mentoring in the NHL.

  4. With so many LHD available no way a 1st would be given to Montreal from the Kings. Kings are not a contender and Blake will not give a first for this assets. Blake will find a UFA at a lower cost. Blake doesn't make big splashes during the season, only in the offseason.
