This whole thing just needs to end at this point. Just get what you can for him .

  2. iamdanabnormal

…to the shock of no one…

  3. Class_Act7

Might as well try and package him for Timo lmao

  4. canseco-fart-box

Whatever. I lost all hope I had for him after he bitched out and ran to Russia for a second time. No need to keep the charade going anymore

Who wouldn’t request a trade in his position? I’m not for or against Krav, but if he wants to build a career for himself in North America, he needs to play. The Rangers are trying to win the cup this year and there’s no spot for him in the lineup that will give him the ice time he needs. He burned a few asses in the front office and it’s just not going to happen for him here.

Good, finally this saga will end the way it should have ended two years ago

Fact of the matter is that Kravtsov needs development to adjust more to the American game, whether that’s with the AHL or a team that isn’t making a cup push. Playing 7 minutes a night on the fourth line wasn’t something that benefitted him or the team. If he wants out, maybe something involving Motte for a trade? Believe we have room for him

To no one’s surprise tbh. I never expected him to have a long-term role with this team since he ran away to Russia. I’m just waiting for him to inevitably score on us from a different team like everyone else.

  9. I don’t blame him at all. GG hates him for no good reason

This whole situation is what not to do. Both sides. Kravtsov should have stayed in the AHL like Shesterkin did he would have been called up that season when we had injuries. Last year he should have been at the prospect camp and we shouldn’t have essentially told him he had a spot on the roster. But he should have came to camp in better shape. When he got cut we should have made it more clear that it was for conditioning if that was why he was being sent down. But again he should have stayed and would have been called up. The KHL is a better league than the AHL but the AHL is a more physical league and that is what he struggles with the most at the NHL level. And for whatever reason Gallant does seemingly just hate him he’s been pulled from the lineup for no reason multiple times and couldn’t get anything going.

A fucked up journey due to either party’s hands. Good luck. Can’t imagine we get more than a 4th or 5th for him.

  12. thighcandy

Right when we’re hitting our stride and having the best stretch of the year. Blegh.

  13. LaCroixEnema

I love how this sub is automatically just like welp he’s out we should fucking fire gallant. Like 1. The kid was a headcase not too long ago. 2. We have no idea what goes on outside the games. And 3. We are a pretty fucking good team and looking nice rn not sure why the coach should be fired over a kid not playing lmao.

Lot’s of blame to go around on this one, but the fact of the matter is that he really shot himself in the foot by not sucking it up and putting some time in Hartford last year. Missing that one year of key development in the North American game hurt him immensely, and unfortunately for both him and us did ultimately show in his production. Best thing for both sides to just get this over with

  15. DismalChance

    Am I surprised? No.

    Am I disappointed? Yes.

I was hoping things would work out. I enjoy having him on the team and seeing him get an opportunity once a month, but I get it. I would have requested a trade personally a long time ago.

  16. L_viathan

We just had him on the second line. God Damnit. I really wanted things to work with him.

  17. Jaspers14

I’ll never understand this subs fascination with him. He has 10 points in 48 games, gets hurt every time he’s on the ice, is known for his immaturity, and the Rangers are a win now, Cup competing team. Could not care less, see ya later Vitali

  18. Tacitus__61

Don’t blame him for wanting out, and I don’t blame us for not playing him. He’s done nothing with his opportunities and has been nothing but a pain in the ass since we drafted him. Good fucking riddance.

  19. Ragstoe

I’ll admit, when he refused to report to Hartford and went back to Russia, I lost a lot of respect for him. But this year, he’s been dicked around. I haven’t necessarily seen anything that impressed me from him, but I didn’t see anything that bad either. The extremely short leash he’s been given seems unjustified. Gallant has been hurting more than helping him.
I hope he finds a place where he gets a fair chance to play and develop. I’m more pissed at the Rangers poor asset management at this point.

  20. dumberthenhelooks

I’d rather play then sit on a bench, too. The brooks article says they requested a trade if he’s not going to be in their plans after getting benched for the 4th line center who ain’t exactly doing much. And you do not send him off for nothing.

  21. LilMissLinNim

We know he has talent, his play with Traktor proves it. He’s just never been put in situations *consistently* where he’s allowed to get comfortable enough to show it. The question is, who within the organization (besides GG) is responsible for poor handling of top talent. And it’s not just Kravtsov. It begs the question why, other than normal adjustment and being wet-behind-the-ears young, it takes as long as it takes for top talent on the Rangers to pay dividends, while other teams’ young talent make immediate impacts.

Look at Jack Hughes vs. Kakko, or Laf. Look at Stützle in OTT, and the guys in EDM or COL. Only this team can have the fortune of drafting 2OA and 1OA in consecutive years and fumble their development and the promise that came with being drafted so high. It’s maddening.
