That last goal was unacceptable. So trash

  2. tehcliffe

I’ve gotten to the point where this shit just makes me laugh

  3. Serapth

If Vladar was in net that was an easy victory.

Markstorm 100% lost us that game. The only other person that deserves blame is Sutter for being such a stubborn jackass.

If Vladar was our starter we’d be in the playoffs right now… By a comfortable margin.

  4. Bigasspikachu

That loss is 100% on Markstrom

  5. GrafNebelgeist

Flames were like, « 2 points? mmm, no thanks »

Can’t believe they fucked this one up after looking pretty damn good for about 58 minutes of it. Far too many points pissed away this year.

  6. natenicholson

    I am irate

We had such a good game

  7. xThunderstruck33x

    The team DOMINATED.

Good job Flames, stop starting Markstrom please.

  8. robochobo

Hard to justify keeping Markstrom next season. Even if he does regain his form he has the potential to also play like garbage as well. Goaltending is the one position you don’t want volatility

  9. CanadianRockx

    Oh

    That’s another Flames loss

That’s another time the Flames lost the game in OT after a collapse

    Cool

  10. Maclammy

I was happy with the first 58 minutes of this game. The last 5 not so much. 🙁

  11. iggyisgoat

Stop playing Markstrom. Dude can’t make a big save. We’re in February, he’s not gonna figure it out

  12. Chulbul_Pandey

His confidence is completely shot yet he keeps starting?

This alone is costing the Flames a playoff spot and for that, Darryl needs to do something (or be gone himself).

  13. NonstopSuperguy

You have *GOT* to be kidding me.

At first, I was on board with Markstrom. The man’s had a bad start to the season but surely he’ll turn it around!

If Vladar was in net tonight, the Flames win that game.

  14. Sutter REALLY needs to go if he starts Markseive next game. What a waste of 6 million dollars

  15. Master_Graphic_Novel

if you want to make the playoffs, you have to start Vladar.

it’s fucking simple. and for fucksakes scratc Lucic already, fuck.

  16. snakethejake24

Feel bad for the other guys on the team. Played their asses off and sutter keeps starting guy in net who has been dick all year because the logic is he was good last year

  17. weschester

Jacob Markstrom should be fucking embarrassed. Can’t wait for him to get the start on Thursday versus the Wings because « he’s our number 1 goalie » lol

  18. MonkeySailor

If Markstrom’s confidence was low prior to this game, it’s gotta be at the deepest depths of Moria now.

And if Sutter can’t see that and goes back to him anyway, then he has to go too

  19. I honestly don’t know why I watch this shit anymore. There’s a billion other things for me to do, and yet I watch this shit and pop a few blood vessels. Fuck this team. See you all on Thursday.

  20. gucci_mane275

Markstroms had the yips since game 5. I love sutter but can’t he see a common trend occurring right in front of his eyes

  21. AbsoluteIKeatI

Did some digging, if we had .900 goaltending this season we would have 11.4 less goals against. Flames have the 4th worst save% at 5 on 5, 8th worst overall. These stats do not include tonight’s game

Edit: A whole season of .903 would be 17.5 less goals against… if only we had a guy who could get that kind of save%

  22. MechashinsenZ

Bench Marky for the foreseeable future. Fucking Swiss cheese

  23. hkbk2011

They were winning 3-1. What happened

  24. SKKforLife

At this point, watching a Flames game has to be on the standard operating procedures of torture at Guantanamo Bay. Every night this team finds a way to disappoint me more than I thought possible.

Idk why the mods deleting the post, but whatever.

Markstrom now ranks (of 49 goalies with 1000 or more minutes) :

    Save Percentage: .892 – 40th

    GSAA: -12.90 – 41st

when the game is within 1 goal (29 qualified goalies):

    Save Percentage: .879 – 28th (second last)

    GSAA: -17.04 – 28th (second last)
