I can’t see Jenner being traded, like at all. If Goose goes, which I am 99% sure will happen, we will need his veteran presence on the ice and in the locker room.

It would have to be quite a large offer to move Boone Jenner. On a contender he’s middle six but for an org that has no quality centers he is of utmost importance. It’s unlikely we are going to magically have quality center depth in the short term barring big leaps from both Kent Johnson and Cole Sillinger next year. The fact that Boone can win faceoffs and has established chemistry with Johnny Gaudreau makes him likely to stay in that position for awhile and boosts his value.

I suppose there is a price for everything but tearing down to a full rebuild just after signing Gaudreau would be quite the choice.
