My emotions got about as high for that as they do for a preseason game. But a win is a win is a win.

That right there is how I would have expected games against bottom feeders to go this year. Nice to finally get a fairly easy win against a shit team for a change.

Chicago is basically the league’s pit of despair, however, Kane is not doing himself any favours by playing pond hockey. I’m not sure I have any interest in him after tonight.

Everyone hating on Kane because he’s the centre of rumours seems to forget he’s playing on one of the worst teams in the league with absolutely nobodies on his line. Of course he doesn’t look like a old Kane…. But you’d be crazy to think putting him on either of Toronto’s top two lines would result in the same production.

I get they suck but kane just kind of floats around. Timo is on a God awful team but I notice him every shift.
When I saw that this was the most heavily skewed betting odds of any NHL game this season, Chicago was on the second half of a back to back and they had some players injured I was sure it was going to be a Leafs loss, so I’m actually pleasantly surprised by this.

Lafferty played well tonight, he would be a nice 4th line centre, kid can skate and score.
What a fun game to go to as my first live leaf game in 12 years. I was 0-4 with two shutouts and no more then two goals at a game until this one. Willy scoring off the opening face off was such a cool moment live after defending him all these years.
If we let Willy go, I’m gonna be big sad
