Detroit and Buffalo (and maybe even Ottawa?) are still too dangerous to Panthers. They just have played so many less games versus Panthers. The whole Florida Panthers situation is still kind of awful to witness. It is too much in other teams hands.

Pittsburgh is pretty safe for one WC spot. To get the other spot, the Panthers only need to be the best of those last five teams by two points. The fact that nobody is very far ahead makes it a lot easier. If they were down by 4-6 points on a couple of teams, that would be difficult. But a two point difference is virtually a dead heat. So just win the horse race. I think they can do it.
