Hey musketeers! Don’t know how to feel about the recent push vs the rest of the season given where we are in standings. Strength of the schedule suggests we will retreat. But it makes it difficult to sell some of the pieces we were supposed to and they may walk after the season and we might not make the playoffs. What potential scenarios are you proposing to action if you were in Stevie Y’s loafers?

I hate regular season overtime (love playoff OT) and I think no game should ever end in a shootout. I personally think we should go back to ties, but I understand why the league doesn’t do that. Instead, I think we should highlight special teams with OT power plays. Each team gets 2 minutes of 4-on-3, where the horn goes at the end of the 2 minutes. Repeat until after a pair of penalties we have a winner. (No sudden death.) Thoughts?
Of all the summer additions to the lineup, whom do you most hope we can keep in Detroit for the next 4-5 years?
In the event that we get the the trade deadline and there’s still interest in bertuzzi, do we risk letting him go for nothing? Do you think any team would be interested in a good old fashioned hockey trade? What would be a good 1-for-1 trade that you guys think would be possible that could be good for both teams?
I think a trade with a team that wants a gritty rental for a deep « now or never » push could trade maybe a middle 6 scorer would be a neat trade.
What forward in the pipeline do you see having a berggren or possibly Raymond type of impact his rookie season? I think Mazur in 2024
Would Bertuzzi staying put and allowing the team to gain playoff experience, from players to coaches, with likely losing him to free agency be more or less valuable than trading him to gain assets and lose out on making the playoffs?
Only Larkin, with 5 games, has any playoff experience in a Wings uniform from 2016.
Jonny Burgers has been one of my favorite players this season. Do you guys consider him to a part of our young core that we can build a team around like Seider and Raymond? If not, what does he have to add to his game to get there?
