Oh brother here we go. I think he would cost much less than Timo but still don’t want this team to give up too much of our future

I don’t mind Kane if he’s much cheaper than expected. His play doesn’t concern me (I think he lost his excitement with his team). But he’s old, and there are serious injury concerns. I’d be cool if it was one 1st round pick, 1 prospect and maybe 4th in total for a 2 team trade that retains most of the salary. But I am of the minority who loves the big splash for entertainment sake. I think that would be an overpay by most accounts.

Honestly, if we can take most of the cap hit with stone being gone and keep the price down, it may be one of the cheaper wingers we can get.

I’ve put a lot of thought into Kane. Always loved the bastard, but didn’t see him benefiting us at all. I’ve been watching most Blackhawks games this season, and he just looks so careless, like he doesn’t even wanna play. But I can’t blame the dude, look at who he has to play with. No one that can finish on his great passes, no one to give him a good feed when he’s breaking out. So I’ve actually changed my mind. I think if he was with our boys who can match his speed and hands, he’ll be happy playing again and do some real damage. I’m just afraid of who we’d trade! (Wouldn’t mind dropping Kessel. It’s no wonder he set the iron man record sitting in the box half the time/ getting benched for 2nd periods/ taking wrist shots at the hash marks on breakaways straight into the goalies logo… and idc about draft picks).

You guys are all freaking out for no reason. You see his game tonight against Toronto? Dude absolutely still has it and that’s on such a shit Chicago team. It’s like giroux last year, he chooses the place he wants to go and it costs much much less. This could work and work incredibly well

Overpaying for Kane would be stupid. If you can get him without giving up much and eating his salary right now then sure. Otherwise dude is washed and you’re just hoping that coming to a contender helps boost his game. Last thing we should be doing is burning more future assets for overpaid old players.
