@Blues de Saint-Louis

Cela ressemble à du matériel de capitaine pour moi de Brayden Schenn: « Vous allez là-bas, vous jouez dur, vous mettez votre équipement et vous jouez pour la ville et les fans et les gens qui viennent nous regarder. »

    ROR back or not, it’ll be hard to not give the c to Schenn

    You gotta think no C until next year right?

    Brayden says the right things in public, by all accounts is a great teammate and is always willing to face the media after a win or loss (no small thing). He will make a fine captain. But coming after Backes (strong), Petro (glorious) and ROR (legendary), Schenn (mediocre) is going to have to pick up his beard game if he wants to meet the standard.

    I love Schenn. Warrior and consummate teammate. But I do have a couple reservations handing the C to him so soon.

    1. Injuries. His crash and bang style tends to land him on IR for obvious reasons.

    2. Skill. I think once the Blues are contenders again Schenn will be a third line player. IMO, your captain should be one of the better players on the team.

    3. I see Schenn as a Dustin brown, David Backes type. These guys don’t have a long shelf life. I know he’s signed long term but I have concerns over longevity.

    I know it’s probably a little bit early for Thomas to get the C so I’d be in favor of three As next year and having Thomas earn the captaincy for the following year.

    I feel for Schenn too. When he signed his long-term deal we were a top team in the West and he was playing with all his buddies. Now we’re resetting, and a lot of the people he’s been here with for years have been traded away

    Sounds great, but he has probably been our worst forward in the D zone this season. Honestly, considering our current plan, I would not be opposed to finding a nice return for him.
