Games like this are proof of why David Pastrnak deserves more money, plus it’s been good to see DeBrusk come back even more guns blazing than he usually is. That injury didn’t slow him down a bit. Also let me just say, the fact that Pasta had basically an easy empty netter that would have allowed him to not only score a hat trick but also tie McDavid for season goals, and instead of scoring he passed it to Krejci to let him score because he knew how important to Krejci this game was, that says a lot about Pasta’s personality 🍝❤️
Bruins on my life will not win the cup though. Playoffs is a beast and to be quite frank, there is too many stronger teams. They won't get past Tampa we all know this.
The Sens came out very feisty in this game against the Bruins I love the way they was Defending against the Bruins in the beginning of the game but they had a few mistakes and break down in coverages that led to goals for the Bruins. My Hat goes out to the Bruins they played so calm and they played today like the best team in the NHL Pastrnak had a great game.
Considering how slanted the officials were in Ottawa’s favor, the Bruins did well to win that game. A poorly officiated game, and definitely not both ways.
Man, Boston doesn't have many weaknesses. Great goaltending, scoring, defence. They beat lower teams they're supposed to beat and they beat the upper teams too, and they just keep rolling along.
Both plays by McAvoy on the Pastrank goals were absolutely ridiculous. That fake out along the boards and through the legs was incredible. Then he tops that with a 3 zone pass from his knees. Unbelievable
I still think that the Bruins need one more solid impact player through trade to really have a chance at Cup, like a Patrick Kane, I actually really wanted Ryan O'Reilly since B's loss in 19' to his Blues cause I thought and still think that's what B's been missing, a real bruiser big Man that is tough to move especially come playoffs and who just brings overall toughness to a team so your stars aren't all just getting bullied and beat up by tougher trams that also have talent to score key goals in playoffs, I at least hope that they do something, get someone that will make instant impact like Lindholm but on offensive side of things

Credit to Former Coach Cassidy for recognizing that the way to break Jake DeBrusk out of his mid-season doldrums last year was to put him on the First Line. Not sure how many other coaches at any level of any sport would have thought of that.
