Well… that was less than ideal.
Might be an unpopular opinion, but I thoroughly did not enjoy that.
Easily the most pathetic Kraken performance of the season thus far.

Give-a-shit-o-meter was low today.
The boys looked completely uninspired and uninterested. One of the worst performances I’ve seen. I just didn’t see any fire at all. A few guys (Gourde, Tanev, Tolvanen) looked like they were ready to play, but the rest of the team looked like they were going through the motions.
Felt like we maybe had 1 or 2 actually decent scoring chances, completely flat. Embarrassing loss
Well most teams tend to play better or worse after the all star break. I guess we know which the Kraken are…

Hopefully they show up against Boston and Toronto, knowing the way Seattle team play though we show up against good teams and shit the bed against terrible teams.

Whatever is going on with this team needs to be dealt with. Too many of these terrible performances in a short period of time. Hak, make adjustments. Shake the lines up a little, call Hayden back up, do SOMETHING. Idk if maybe Burky was that big of a glue for this team or what but this cannot happen a single time again for the entire rest of the season if you want to be even slightly competent in the playoffs. I know afternoon games suck but jesus christ guys. This one flat out felt like they didn’t even care.
Kraken fan from the bay area speaking, who attended the game, a tough result today, maybe just an off day, but enjoyed my afternoon.
I know they could have played better but as long as they make the playoffs I’m a happy long distance fan

This is a long one for just a dumb joke, but hear me out.
Remember that scene in The Office where a Robert California is going to publicly fire Dwight over the poor take off of the Sabre store. Jim find out about it and physical holds Dwight back because Dwight doesn’t believe him, eventually Robert ends up firing Tod Packer who stupidly takes credit for the store not knowing that the manager was going to get fired. In the end Packer gets fired, and Jim saved Dwight from humiliation?
Robert California = The Sharks
Tod Packer = Martin Jones
Dwight = Grubauer
Jim = Hakstol
Grubby probably would have happily started this game, but Hakstol holds him back, Jones confidently takes on the challenge just to get stat ranked by the Sharks saving Grubauer the trouble of a bad game (because 0 goals doesn’t win no matter who’s in net).
Jones never gets any goal support.
