Great game for not having Larks!

  3. matthewdurand

Elite first line center Pius Suter

  4. culturedrobot

Well I guess we’ll just have to go to the playoffs then

  5. Wheresthesass

Huge win after Larkin was ejected early on.

Oh and Suter is the captain now

  6. TheBrothersClegane

What a win after losing Larks. PIUS MOTHERFUCKING SUTER!!! Vrana looked pretty damn solid in his return as well. LGRW

    JUST A SMALLTOWN GIRL

  7. kermitthefrog57

Huge W and huge L for the Sabres barring a classic Leaf collapse

Edit: uh oh. Already a Sabres goal

Edit: ALRIGHT THIS NOT FUNNY ANYMORE

  8. BenAdaephonDelat

So glad we won after that bullshit ejection. Larkin better not get suspended after all the shit he’s been through the last 2 years but I have zero faith in DOPS to make the correct call.

  9. ucntseemoi

I miss Mick, but man Ozzie has been solid this road trip! Shout out to him for being on his game

  10. HercHuntsdirty

Vrana looking great, Husso being a stud, Suter staying red hot and a Wings W on packzi day? What a treat!

  11. BroodWarrior

Suter harnessed the power of Larkin. Great win to end a strong road trip!

  12. SimplySolace

Let’s fucking go! BIG W without the captain

  13. Wingnut17

Vrana looked good. Great speed and effort on that forecheck play.

  14. BenAdaephonDelat

Toronto beating Buffalo 5-0 and we win against a wildcard team. Good night.

  15. SlickStick

LETS GO BOYS!!! Really happy for Suter. He’s not the strongest guy, but he plays the game the right way. Can’t believe we’re 2 points out of the playoffs with 4 games in hand!

  16. tfoxsail

The Swiss have brought us Swiss cheese, the Swiss Army knife, some damn good chocolate, and Pius Suter.

  17. TheBrothersClegane

Trade Larkin. Sign Pius Suter for 10×10

    (sarcasm)

  18. PlakeSnisskin

Suter is Helm 2.0 to me and I’m loving it

  21. xenonwarrior666

Sure hope Fabs is just stung by the blocked shot and not actually hurt. Dude has been good in his return.

    “That’s a good trip”

    -Trevor Thompson

  23. poutinetrough

somebody please call Dr rahmani cause I can’t trust my eyes, we went on a heater of a road trip

  24. PierogiPounder420

Vrana didn’t get a lot of ice time and took a big hit. Besides that he looked good and almost had a chance off a weird bounce. I forgot how good of a passer he was, but he slapped one backhand to the slot and I forgot who it went to, but they missed

  25. Wingedwolverine03

Huge win, especially with the captain out.

Vrana looked really good. Created several chances and was solid defensively backing up pinching Dmen.

  26. drinkwineandscrew

    Suter absolutely lights out.
Husso solid af whenever called upon.

Huge response to losing larks early and getting the two points.

They had two big chances to collapse; the Larkin penalty, and the big pressure from Washington at the start of the 3rd (with the wings having been unlucky not to score at the end of the second). But they didn’t fold. We’ve seen the wings collapse so many times in these scenarios over the rebuild seasons, and this win really underlines for me the progress that has been made. With three players that featured in the down years on the opposition as a reminder of where this team was, they got the job done.

Vrana looked feisty on his return to the side, making plays and getting available in the O-zone and a huge hustle to make a defensive play a highlight too.

No one had a shocker but a few players with a quiet day at the office.

Big team performance under difficult circumstances, and against a direct rival for the wildcard spots in the east. The boys have earned themselves a ginger ale or two on the flight home from this road trip, and they’ve earned big points in the fight to make it back to the postseason too.

  27. AmazingSieve

Two points out of a playoff spot kinda amazing. Right where we all hoped they’d be

  28. JohnWad

Well, I optimistically said Vrana would have 2pts tonight. He didnt, but it was awesome to see him out there again!

  29. theonetruestew

Whenever Suter scored tonight I shouted “Suter” (in cadence with “Shooter” from Happy Gilmore)
