There’s gotta be more than that surely

  2. ImmoKnight

I just feel like this is going to bite in the ass once more.

  3. pickles_312

24 years old, 1 assist in 28 NHL games

  4. whiteside1121

It’s just a cap move why are y’all asking questions?

  5. explosivebuttfarts

    2026 seventh round pick lmao

  6. kvnklly

    We found jakes replacement.

1 point in 28 games over 3 seasons

Appears the Blackhawks, who are in the middle of a rebuild did NOT want Kravstov as part of the Kane return? Shocking! I thought Reddit said Kravstov was a great young talent!

Idc that this is to clear cap this is horrid. This guy is older than krav and much worse with far less potential. If we have a team krav for salary retention then ok even that might be steep. Didn’t wild retain 25% of orielly for a fourth? Surely we could’ve done better than that. This is a bit ridiculous

Canuck fan here, Lockwood is an ahl player with his peak being a 4th liner in the NHL, he’s a physical player who can create some energy but he lacks any sense of offensive prowess at the NHL level. At his peak he may become a 10-10 guy who loves to throw his weight around but at this point I’d say it’s less than likely it would happen.

This makes me worried what we’re giving up for Kane. Expected not Othman or Jones. Just krav a 2nd and the a 3rd to someone else

  11. AbeFromanfromChicago

Underwhelming return for a player who consistently underwhelmed.

The league keeps showing us what Kravtsov was worth. He was a reach when we picked him and he’s done nothing to justify that.

Teams are worried that he’s headed back to Russia after this year. I’m sad it didn’t work out because he has potential but he’s 23, almost five years removed from his draft and has very little to show for it.

  13. JoelsCaddy

Lias Anderson and Kravstov in back-to-back top 10 picks. Sad

  14. BrooklynJet97

Wow, for someone with such a high potential ceiling, we got 0 in return. That sucks.

Lockwood is basically a Motte 2.0, small frame but skates hard, throws his weight around and isn’t scared to play a really tough game. As a Nucks fan I actually like the guy a lot and I always saw a bit of potential there.

Hope he can provide energy on the 4th line, in the event of injuries, when you guys go on your deep playoff run.

Personally not a fan of throwing away another top pick of ours who also happens to be the only other RW with potential we even have outside of Kakko. Literally who is playing the RW next year and how do we even improve it outside of just re-upping every deadline?

If you wanna say Kravtsov is worthless, then draft better instead of flopping on guys like him and Lias.

  17. iamdanabnormal

This has to be a setup move.

There is absolutely no possible way the Rangers allowed themselves to tank VK’s value to the point your return is worse than the one they got for Lias Andersson.

  18. Dont_know_where_i_am

Lol that’s terrible. We got a late 2nd for Andersson. Kravtsov has shown more in his time with us than Andersson did.

  19. L_viathan

Is this a last minute cap dump for Kane? Because otherwise this is poopoo, Krav has decent potential.

  20. Obviously a move to make room for Kane….Darren Dreger also alluded that there is some concern over Kravtsov possibly going back to the KHL. So can’t say I’m shocked at the low return, but a little bummed out about it.

Kane aside it’s a sad organizational failure with how we handled Kratzov. There are going to be a bunch of people saying that this is 100% Kratzov’s fault and no blood on NYR hands. I disagree. Kratzov could have handled this better initially but who am I going to be more disappointed in? A 20 something year old hockey player or an original 6 franchise who has a poor history drafting, developing and retaining their own talent. This isn’t the first young player who demanded their way out of the organization.

If I’m an NHL player I don’t want to be drafted by the Rangers. I’ll force my way there via trade/FA later in my career when I’m more established in career.

  22. nyrangerfan1

Should have gotten rid of him when he bailed for Russia.

  23. Kaapo-Taco

Quit on the team twice, and then produced nothing playing with noted good passer Artemie Panarin. Screenshot this, he’ll be back in the khl by 2026. This is bad asset management in the fact that he should’ve ever been drafted at 9

  24. GoRangers26

Is there a chance that one side of a 3 way trade is announced before the Chicago side? Or are we just not getting kane

  26. Tacitus__61

Hawks fans are going to be mad as shit with their return for Kane if they can’t even get Kravstov now. It sounds like they didn’t want him included in the trade.

This is a nothing return for us on Kravstov, but he’s been nothing but a negative ever since he’s been here anyway so it’s really addition by subtraction.

  27. VALIS666

No idea why people seem confused at such a light return for Krav. Brooks recently reported that the Rangers have been trying to trade him for weeks and no one was interested. His NHL totals are 5G 5A in 48 games and several « I deserve better than this » tantrums. Any team acquiring him knows he’s a big risk to just say fuck this and go back to Russia. What kind of assets do you think a team is giving up for this? That Drury got anything at all and didn’t have to waive him is a plus.

  28. RyBon211

The Kane trade better not include Othmann Cuylle or anyone of the Kid line

  29. jkman61494

I’ve been a Kravstov defender but that’s a slap of reality to what the league thought of him. That’s as close to as little value you could ever get in a trade before you just waive someone

  30. Ok, no one thinks it’s weird that Chicago didn’t want kravstov? Like what?

  31. pizzorelli

not sure why everyone is freaking out. is the return underwhelming? yes. did the rangers do any favors by benching him and having him play 6 minutes a game? no. did kratsov earn a top 6 spot? no. it is what it is. drury clearly didnt have a better offer otherwise he wouldve taken it..

  32. Griffinjohnson

Wake up call for all the Krav apologists: this is what the NHL thinks of him. We took this trade to free up cap space because Chicago isn’t interested and apparently neither was anyone else. This was probably a last ditch deal before they waived him because he had to go one way or another.
