Wait – this means we get Karlsson?

Now that Kravtsov is gone, I no longer have to see his defensive metrics and people thinking we should have continued to give him a chance. The saga is finally over

    This video was very sweet.

did the team even send out a Thank You tweet like they do for previous trades?

Good luck to him. I hope the kid finds big success in Vancouver.

So glad he’s gone. This is textbook addition by subtraction.

We just flat out whiffed on the pick. Lot easier to swallow when the kid line is looking better and better and Othmann is waiting in the wings. Nobody gets every pick right.

Sad it didn’t work out. Another wasted high pick.

At least this was not a Jessiman/McIlrath/Sanguinetti level whiff of a pick; not a ton of players on the board after Kravtsov who would have made much of a difference either.

At least that’s what I am telling myself, that it was a bad pick in a bad draft but it’s not like the Rangers passed on an opportunity to draft a future Hall of Famer like some of those other draft misses.

Man, what a bummer this is where this whole thing ends. Makes me sad thinking about all those KHL highlights pumping us up for his arrival lol.

His 3-3-6 in 28 GP this season and his 5-5-10 in 48 career GP makes it certainly true that he didn’t do much with the chances he was given here. But I will say he was never given the consistency or the trust he needed, which goes a long way for a player’s confidence. Seemed like the moment something went wrong for the team Krav was dropped down to the 4th line. How are you supposed to flourish if you’re worried about getting demoted and scratched for mistakes?

On the other hand, as a coach of a team pushing to be a cup contender, how do you let this kid play through mistakes when he’s not producing / helping you win games? Which is fine to think, but it didn’t seem like Krav was playing that bad / costing us games. His metrics were good, no?

And then Gallant runs Phantom Jake in the lineup as long as he did so who the hell knows this whole thing was screwed up.

Cherepanov contributed more than this guy
