I swear everyone on the team needs beef their shin pads. Can’t believe Seider has escaped serious injury the amount of times he’s gone down taking a block. Feels like this team gets absolutely battered by blocked shots.

Lalonde needs to seriously rethink about cutting the style of play we run a little bit. We overdo it with the blocked shots, and it’s led to a huge amount of injuries this year. It’s good to block shots but not at this rate.
Is it time to look at making the puck slightly softer? the amount of broken bones is absurd. I sure they can figure out how to keep most of the puck feel and speed wile limiting impact damage.

Rest up Ras. I’d rather have him back 100% than coming back too early just to make an arbitrary playoff push.

Dang… Ras, that absolutely dead eyed psycho, has put everything on the line for this team and we the fan base are loving it.

Bert (twice), Zadina, now Ras as of tomorrow will have missed a significant number of games this season due to injuries from blocks. That’s some bad luck there.

This team does too much shot blocking and it annoys me to no end. 95% of the time its better to get the fuck out of the way and let the goalie see it. Goalies are equipped to take hits from a 90mph hunk of frozen rubber; skaters are not. Save the blocking for specific circumstances where it’s absolutely necessary to prevent a goal. I don’t have numbers, but we seem to have been having an unnatural amount of injuries from this.
Guys are getting hurt to stop shots that the goalie is able to save without getting hurt. While simultaneously making it harder to save the shots that get through.
This is going to make Mickey sad.
This sucks he is key to what we’ve been doing
