Michael Rasmussen (lower body) out indefinitely. Will know more in the next couple of days. Per Lalonde.

  2. xenonwarrior666

You could tell from the tape he was gonna be gone for the long run.

I’d be surprised if he doesn’t need surgery.

  3. MonsieurAK

    Welp, that’s Raymond’s music.

  4. my_stepdad_rick

Huge loss. Really hope it isn’t for too long. Get better quick Ras!

  5. oceanic8675

This is my least favorite thing. If I ever see that puck it’s on sight.

  6. PierogiPounder420

Damn this sucks. It’s hard to replace someone whose 6’6”. Might have to bring up the SodaStream and it will have to be extra carbonated.

  7. I swear everyone on the team needs beef their shin pads. Can’t believe Seider has escaped serious injury the amount of times he’s gone down taking a block. Feels like this team gets absolutely battered by blocked shots.

  8. Wingedwolverine03

Either cracked the knee cap or a bad bone bruise.

    Neither heals quickly. Fn sucks

  9. everyboulevard

Serial killer/60 took a massive hit. But in all seriousness hope Ras heals up as best he can.

  10. Basic_Ask1885

Absolutely sucks, he was playing his dick off

  11. Prestigious-Lawyer13

Was at the game. That blocked shot was WICKED. You could tell immediately things were not good.

  12. RIP 😢😢😢😢 Hope he gets healthy soon!

Looks like Sodorblom’s gonna be called up here tomorrow

  13. dudewithchronicpain

Poor Ras. Was having a heck of a season.

  14. johnnysappleseed11

This is a major loss to our playoff push.

  15. buddycheesus

    Damn.

Silver lining? We’re relatively healthy. And we’re deeper than recent seasons. Heal fast Ras! Sorry too. That looked painful af.

  16. dumbpaulbearer

That looked terrible, he looked in so much pain! He really turned a corner this year, I hope he’s a part of this team for years to come.

  17. nb00818

Dammit. Ras has been great this year.

Only positive is this should open up more ice time for the zadina, vrana, berg rotation.

  18. SpiritBamba

Lalonde needs to seriously rethink about cutting the style of play we run a little bit. We overdo it with the blocked shots, and it’s led to a huge amount of injuries this year. It’s good to block shots but not at this rate.

  19. bkaiser

Is it time to look at making the puck slightly softer? the amount of broken bones is absurd. I sure they can figure out how to keep most of the puck feel and speed wile limiting impact damage.

  20. FUCK. FuckityFuckFuck.

Rest up Ras. I’d rather have him back 100% than coming back too early just to make an arbitrary playoff push.

  21. motorcycleovercar

I’d be out indefinitely too if I was hit in that sensitive area. It’s a burden he has to bear for being hung like a horse. /s

Edit: First sentence is sarcasm. Second, is a statement of fact.

  22. redwingsHELLyea

    SON OF A BITCH!!!!!😢🙏

  23. This season really has been the definition of « next man up »

No matter the injury, I hope Ras has a speedy recovery!

  24. jfstompers

Well at least it’s not day to day that turns into all season

  25. YellowShorts

Perhaps we need a slight adjustment to the “let players rip shots from the blue line and let our non-goalies block the shots” strategy

Idk the overall numbers but I know the past couple games we’ve had more than double the amount of blocked shots.

And how many injuries have we had because of blocked shots this season?

  26. Delta-26

Dang… Ras, that absolutely dead eyed psycho, has put everything on the line for this team and we the fan base are loving it.

Heal fast, heal right, and we will see you back out there pissing other teams off soon.

  27. el_Technico

    Awww mannn, this sucks.

Is there hope we can get him back for the playoffs?

  28. firebuttman

Bert (twice), Zadina, now Ras as of tomorrow will have missed a significant number of games this season due to injuries from blocks. That’s some bad luck there.

  29. Funny_Groundbreaking

Does this mean we’re bringing up apple ciderbum from GR

  30. VanillaIce315

This team does too much shot blocking and it annoys me to no end. 95% of the time its better to get the fuck out of the way and let the goalie see it. Goalies are equipped to take hits from a 90mph hunk of frozen rubber; skaters are not. Save the blocking for specific circumstances where it’s absolutely necessary to prevent a goal. I don’t have numbers, but we seem to have been having an unnatural amount of injuries from this.

Guys are getting hurt to stop shots that the goalie is able to save without getting hurt. While simultaneously making it harder to save the shots that get through.

  31. OrionWilliamHi

This is going to make Mickey sad.

  32. 7screws

This sucks he is key to what we’ve been doing
