Crazy how many people have never watched hockey before. The Canucks don't have a goalie in net because teams will pull the goalie if they're losing in the final minutes to put another offensive player on the ice. It essentially gives them a 6 on 5 advantage, but it leaves the net vulnerable. Its a high risk, high reward last ditch effort to tie up the game.
