I was hoping we could get Tanner Jeanott, now I am glad we didn't, that trade was obscene! I know toughness isn't the only thing we need right now, but it would be nice to see a guy who can add that. Would love to see a 3rd line player who can score, hit, and if needed take care of some of the rough stuff. If the bar has been set on a player like Jeanott with that trade, boy are we in some trouble trying to get that.

Same team went 16 5 and 5 fighting for first before jarry injury this season. I don't think they are so far off from that again. It's how this team has always been. They do still need some 3rd line help but….this is just a later slump then most…they will finish like mad Men this season again I think. But they don't have many of these seasons left. Even those losses they should have won a couple by dominating but not getting saves against the isles.
How does teddy get on your list of bad. He is a what we need on the 4th and pk. The 4th out scores the 3rd on this team. And i thibk it is so bad that we expect the 4th to make up the bottom 6 scoring for them. It is just the 3rd. A black hole. The 4th is always hard on it. Just don't let the 3rd line black hole suck our thoughts of the 4th into it
Agree with the bittersweet reality of this weekend's results. Hoping management doesn't get too shortsighted because of it.

It was nice to see all that happen, BUUUT there a lot of he that need to be fix. I'm hoping thing get better, BUUUT….
DK I am with you when you said the Pens need better D. That means the Defense and the goaltending. On paper, the defense this year should be better than the defense of last year with the acquisitions of Petry and Rutta..It is not..the Defense is worse and Jarry has been absent a lot and still an unproven playoffs goalie. DeSmith is inconsistent, I suggest that 3 out of the top 6 d Men are more of the problem than the bottom 6…Not only does the D not play good D, they are amongst the worst in scoring. Getting the bottom 6 the puck so they can do something with it and throwing in more than a rare goal would be most helpful..as would being strong on the skates and rugged…and playing good Defense. Been saying this all season
All I got to say about this is let’s see how much time goes by for them to play like this again twice a month just isn’t getting it done they look unstoppable when they play like this
