What's sad is there still ppl who think Gibson is a bum goalie. Man I would love to see how the "top goalies" fare when they have the defense give 40+ a night and only score less than 2 a night I doubt any of them could post "elite" numbers I don't think even a prime Patrick Roy or Martin Broduer can drag this team to a .500 record.
Statistically speaking, a goalie will give up roughly 1 goal every 10 shots. The old hockey mentality of accuracy by volume method. Just throw pucks at the net, either one will go in or you get a nice rebound chance and snap one in. Gibson is above average, he's always been a really good goaltender on a really crappy team. I feel for the man. The fact that he beat the Hurricanes speaks volumes.

I dont know why but this guy Gibson and Ben Bishop is two of the most underrated goalies in the league of all time, as a former goalie who almost made it and is now a goalie coach for a youth league, those two have possibly the most complete and clean styles in the entire NHL, from a goalie coach standpoint they are what every goalie should aspire to be in technique.
I bet someone has bribed ducks players to be playing so poorly.
Carolina should have traded for him and just let him stay in town with them for a playoff run. Maybe if they had traded earlier he could have dressed for them and avoided this loss

As a state champion goaltender still holding the record for most SO's and best SPP I can safely say, get that man some D. Jesus Christ I know us goalies love the spotlight but this is just cruel.
Him and Ingram are going nuts. No hate to the Ducks or the Coyotes but I hope this is just a gateway for them to get onto better teams. Both goalies have been killing it this season!
I cannot understand why the ducks still have their coach… because that team does not check anybody they do not play defense they wear skirts when they play defense and they hang all their goalies out to dry

Colorado needs a goalie. If they had a goalie they’d be a perfect team. They don’t have a mcdavid. But they have a pretty good player in Mackinnon and they have makar. They have a great captain. And they’re a young team. If they just had a fuckin goalie. They won the cup last year without a goalie. They’re trying to do well again. I don’t understand why Sakic thinks they don’t need a goalie. Both cups back then they had a great Roy. After that last cup Roy went downhill. But they need a fuckin goalie. They haven’t had one since that cup in 2000.
