Absolutely fantastic is a stretch. He’s a solid middle 6 winger

Engvall is also one of the most ridiculously fit guys league-wide with an incredible work rate.
Great pickup for the Islanders. They get a rental for a third who they can likely extend in the off-season. He’s a strong left winger that can play up and down the lineup anywhere from 4th to 2nd line minutes when necessary.
There’s absolutely nothing wrong with a versatile winger acquisition when you only give up a third round pick.
I’ve been told blue means good so I’m a fan of this trade.

Fantastic? Meh. 12 goals and 21 points on the season, advanced stats are a plus but this guy is no A tier producer. This guy has been solid and will probably make a formidable third line winger for us
Leafs fan here. Be careful not to oversell him, but he is a capable and versatile 3rd liner. He is definitely nothing like Clutterbuck, he is a far more subtle player who plays a safe and quietly efficient game. He will disappear for a stretch then seem like a 2nd-3rd line tweener for a bit. He’s a good role player to have.

Leafs fan here, really sad to see our giraffe go. I have to say I’m happy for him though, you guys are going to develop Engvall better than we could, he’s going to grow with you and be a pain in the ass for us to deal with in our future bouts. He’s a clutch player with a growing hockey IQ who’s fast as FUCK when he needs to be. He’s learning his strength, and considering you have a tough group he’s going to probably earn his potential with you. I hope you guys have fun watching him grow, I know I will.
