Garbage both games. Sad. Sell sell sell.

  2. ForkzUp

Those of us who stayed to the end need to get some sort of medal.

  3. bandofgypsies

Red Wings: Absolutely trash for two straight games

    NHL Officiating: *hold my beer*

  4. The_Astros_Cheated

Has to be the most demoralizing loss of the Stevie Y era. Everything was terrible on all fronts. An absolutely pathetic showing in every facet of the game.

Don’t know what else to say. I feel gutted for the players because I know what losses like this feel like, but I’ve also learned in my experience that the cure to getting embarrassed is winning.

Feels like it might be too late for the proverbial antidote.

  5. everyboulevard

Only thing I’m gonna take away from this is Mo holding two guys like he’s double fisting ice creams

  6. Salamangra

We just dropped the two most important games this team has played in years. We could have walked out of this in a WC position instead we played like total crap.

No doubt in my mind Yzerman is selling now. Good. This team won’t win a thing. If Ottawa can do that to us, the Bruins would be devastating.

Edit: Was Larkin benched or injured?

I’m gonna take it as a good thing that I’m this upset over two losses. I haven’t been this angry over losses in 7 years.

  9. b0neslicer

i’m going to forget these 2 games even happened. they turned me into a person i don’t like to be. i am sorry to those i was an asshole to or talked shit to in this thread. it’s just a game and we have a very fun and beautiful community online here and i love it.

  10. MorningBell

Officiating was rough in the beginning of the game, but this team can not handle adversity at all. Terrible game from Perron, rough interference penalty for Larkin to take too

  11. Shotokanguy

Some serious thinking needs to be done by the coaching and leadership. Those were not just two bad games. You cannot be that completely incapable just because of some big hits. Hits don’t explain the breakaways. The lack of shots and terrible power play. Everything.

  12. redwingsHELLyea

    SODERBLOM AND EDVINSSON TIME!!!!!😇🙏

  13. SpiritBamba

Probably the most embarrassing game I’ve seen during the entire rebuild. Like yes we have lost 9-2 and 11-2 which infuriated me but those games have no stakes, to come out like this after the game we had yesterday shows an incredible lack of compete and heart. It was embarrassing, we got punked twice. They need to sell and get something for players like bert while they still can, shit yzerman might have waited too long.

  14. jaredsurreddit

Is it too harsh to call this two game series the most embarrassing, impactful point of the season?

  15. jfstompers

How do you have 7 power plays and only get 17 shots, it’s impossible

  16. Wheresthesass

No excuses for this one. Team knew what kind of game they were getting into after last night, and they still looked unprepared and defeated. If they wanted to send a message, then they sent one all right.

This team is not ready for postseason hockey. Not even close.

  17. thefonzz91

The playoff excitement over the last week or so was fun and I know it’s not over but I can’t take any team seriously who just lost 6-2 6-1 in back to back games against a team battling with them for the playoffs. I was on the fence about selling Bert but I’m all for it now. It’s hard not to overreact but this was a disappointing 2 days.

  18. I_see_something

I officially have a new least favorite team… the Ottawa Senators

  19. jackstalke

This is not a playoff roster. No reason to stick with it. Selling time.

  20. AffectionateMrPink

Copp Ras line was humming. The loss of Ras hurts more than I thought it would. Pretty obvious this team was out of sync without him.

  21. Does Rasmussen have that much of an impact on the team to warrant these losses? I know he is having a great year, but damn this was rough.

  22. ufdan15

I’m gonna miss Bertuzzi. Thanks for the memories man, you’ve been my favorite player on this team for years

  23. Brooksie019

I like that grit mo showed at the end, you can tell he was pissed. Which is good. This team needs to get mad.

  24. abassassasssin

Im glad to see this before the deadline and not after. I expect yzerman may sell bert

  25. Longated

Mike Rasmussen is an essential piece to this team

  26. oceanic8675

Man, I didn’t think I’d dislike any fan base more than Edmonton’s after that game but with how many Sens fans came into our thread tonight…good lord…

  27. TheNation55

One team wanted to keep their season alive.

The other team clearly did not whatsoever.

Time to find guys that want to be here, again.

  28. razlo1km

My hot take. Would have like to see the wings perform better these two games. The one thing I see consistent over the last 10 games or so, these last two had the worst fucking officiating ever. Wings obviously got outshot and out played overall. However they came out scoring and playing well and once the first penalty/penalty shot/mysterious penalty got called the wheels fell off. In all my years I never wanted to turn off a game bc of how poorly the officiating was. When both teams fan bases are going wtf, that says something. Welp hopefully it was just a two game thing and they can get back to playing how they were before Ottawa.

  29. sivadkaz

Glad to see the team give a fuck…

  30. nicholasccc95

3 bad breakaways in the first period. One last night. Past 48 hours have been brutal. Also, can someone tell Alex Tanguay to stop drawing up drop passes in the fucking power play? It never works and the drop back to a speedy Larkin especially is so predictable and almost never works either.

  31. NihilisticPollyanna

I never really thought of the Senators as an asshole team, until now.
Though, they are never really on my radar in general.

Somehow I always forget they exist until we play them, haha. Well, I will sure remember them now. 😭

And, I have the same issue with Tkachuck as I have(had) with Crosby.

Their abrasive/whiny personality on the ice makes it really difficult for me to appreciate what great players they actually are.

  32. DelusionalDETfan

Just shows that this team needs Adam Erne

  33. sawyerdk9

Do you get fined if you shit talk the officiating to the press?

  34. BlameTheSalamanders

So… we have beef with Ottawa now right?

  35. International-Use616

It’s just a few bad games against a shitty team; they will bounce back… It’s hockey; anything can happen. And remember, if they make it to the playoffs, they will most likely get swept in the 1st round. So enjoy the ride and relax

    Don’t stop believing

    #16

  36. Brooksie019

I would love to hear what’s going on in Stevie’s head right now.

  37. Fenrir1861

I may have bad eyes but at least they work better than the refs tonight

  38. MoneyMatton99

From a sens Dan Jake Walman is the goat
