Blue Jackets will try to quickly explore the market before Friday's deadline to see if there's interest on a playoff team for pending UFA Jonathan Quick. Which has has been communicated to the veteran goalie, and well, no doubt would be a desirable outcome for him.

This year Quick is 11-13-4 (on a team tied for 1st in the Pacific at 34-20-8) GAA of 3.50 and a SV% of 0.876.
I think we may get a ham sandwich for him, but probably can’t even afford to add mayo or any other fixings. If Jarmo proves me wrong I’ll be very happy, but not holding my breath.
Let him retire and save the McConnells some money
I guess if we retain a bunch of salary we might get a late pick for him.
Second round pick incoming with a bunch of cap. Can we move brick hands grubransen
Not gonna happen, but it would be such a Jarmo move to pull off a fleecing here
My guess is that this announcement is more for the benefit of Quick who is apparently not happy about the trade. Jackets likely aren’t looking to get anything back, just move a guy who doesn’t want to be here
Can someone explain why the Blue Jackets took this trade? I’m out of the loop (blues fan) and don’t understand what’s going on
