I think we got him for big faceoffs primarily..
I was hoping for Domi, but we’ll take Lars! Depth pieces like him are a big part of why we won the cup last year. Here’s to hoping that history repeats itself 🤞🏻
Looking forward to a PK with Cogliano and Eller. I think acquiring Eller also gives the Avs a chance to experiment with Newhook bumped out to the wing, which might turn out to be a better fit for his skillset. JT is pretty much locked into that 2C spot, IMO
They probably regret not keeping Kadri.
They need someone better than Eller
Knowing what happens with the Avs, Eller will be point per game in the playoffs out of nowhere lol
I think sliding him into that 3C or 4C role will keep the chemistry on the top 6 untouched for now while Eller gets acclimated. Then we will see how things get switched up when Landy comes back.
Eller…. the best thing he has going for him right now is he's a veteran…I mean he's a center but is this the move that propels them to another cup. I don't think so.
