  1. Solid effort against the best team in the league. Keep your head up Jay. We just need to tighten up defensively

  2. Bouchard turnovers 5+. Icings from his forced passes to McDavid or Drai 3+. Is Bouchard an NHL dman? Holy smokes guys this kid needs to be dealt.

    Let’s not loose anymore sleep
    Bouch, Yammo, picks out
    Ekholm in.Nsh retain 25%

  3. Well wake up Holland to get some trades going you never get out of the first round you need to go for it all Jay

  4. This showed the Oilers aren't built good enough to be a true contender. Nurse, Ceci, Kulak, Desharnais, Bouchard, Barrie,.. it's just brutal. The defense is brutal and this is what you get. Turnover machine.

  5. Was a good game. Glad Kostin is back. PK was great! Hard to get much going with being short handed so much. Would have been nice to end Bruins win streak but congrats to them on extending it to 7 games.

  6. Different game same garbage. Allow a goal seconds after scoring, allow a goal with 30 seconds left in a period because of lazy play, take a bunch of dumb penalties when you're down and give up the rest of the game.

Great job on no trades Holland, you're doing awesome!

  7. The goalie situation is what it is. Not much that can be done about it now. Just gotta hope that either Skinner keeps developing and improving quickly and/or Campbell can get back to the level of an NHL starter. What we've known all year, and remains the biggest need is an experienced shut-down D-man that can bump Kulak, Broberg, Bouchard and Desharnais down one spot and provide depth for a playoff grind.

  8. Oilers were doing well when they showed the Bruins the respect they deserved – ZERO respect. Then they stopped hitting. Bouchard is a soft turnover machine, but worth the 850,000 they're paying him I suppose. Nurse is exactly like Bouchard but with the 9.5 million salary cap hit. If Holland doesn't do something soon, McDavid will no doubt ask to be traded after this season.

  9. Reporter: Ken how do you feel about the loss against Boston tonight?
Holland: We only lost by 1 goal against the best team in the league, I'm perfectly ok with that.
Reporter: What are your thoughts about the Columbus game?
Holland: We only lost by 1 goal against the worst team in the league, I'm perfectly ok with that.

  10. Wow, it's hard to stomach how bad our defense is. Our defense is literally the toxic organism that's killing this team.

  11. Desharnais got about 50 bruises on his legs tonight from blocked shots. Where the f*** were the rest of D. Lol

  12. 13 and 9 down the stretch to secure a wild card spot. 1 in the toilet tonight 21 to go.
0 and 1. The count down begins.

  13. Can we get the podium cleaned for Jay when he talks? Why does he always have crumbs on it? Does staff each chips over it or something?

  14. Tied of the excuses, And for Skinner to poke check that puck instead of holding it we probably could of won the game or at least got a point, come on defence and goalies try helping the team out.

  15. The win was there to be had all night long….yesterday we needed to be 13-9 with 22 games left. Today its 0-1.The rest of the Season matters not today. Lets not discuss things we dont need. Time is of the essence.

  16. When will they start asking the right questions to this coach? Why is there not a single link played in the team for 60 games? Why are the lineups constantly changing over the course of 60 games? Why is there no discipline in the team for 60 games already and players get fines from scratch? Obviously, the coach is not able to build discipline and the team is removed from 3-5 times in each game. Everyone is happy that they bounced back from Boston after losing only 1 goal and do not notice that the team did not exist and did not exist thanks to the incompetent experiments of the coach. In order to look at least somehow meaningful, he destroyed the link of Leon and Connor trying to say that he sees hockey so innovatively, and in the end he got a complete drop in efficiency and does not notice it. Leon looks like an average player in every match if he doesn't play with Connor. It's high time for the coach to go to the mirror and look into it to see that all the problems of the team are opposite. Thanks to his mediocre decisions, there is no discipline in the team and these removals from scratch will continue and fail at crucial moments. Thanks to him, there are no dangerous three in the team. And if Connor doesn't score, then no one scores, it looks terrible. Players in other links are just making a fuss and can't score because they just haven't been played and put without taking into account chemistry with each other. Remove all Connor's goals from the team statistics and remove all the goals that were scored from his assists and you will see that the team will break through the bottom of the standings. And this is the result of the work of a coach who is trying to make a meaningful face. The problem of the team is only the coach who is not able to build either efficiency in each link or discipline. It's only thanks to Connor and his hard work that this team is still holding on. You have to be completely incompetent in order not to return Leon and Connor to the same link in this situation, but apparently this coach decided to ruin all the chances of the team. Edmonton, which has always played clean hockey, is starting to look dirty with these stupid deletions that players make with a complete lack of discipline settings. If you don't see that the problem is with the coach, then nothing will change, Connor will still try to pull the team out, and the coach will still destroy everything that is possible, mixing players and not paying attention to discipline and penalties. This will fail at important moments and the team will lose. It's time for Mr. Coach to stop loving himself as a coach and do at least something for the team, collect the right links and not change them, but let the players get used to each other, put strict discipline and return Leon and Connor to one link. For many games, there is not a single link that could look dangerous and score, only one person does it and this is a complete failure of coaching.

  17. At this point i think Woody could of gave Ryan a few more minutes and Yamo a few less. Broberg and Kostin a few more mins also, and even a few more shifts for JP in a hard and fast checking game.

  18. Impressive effort on the 3v5 for sure. If it wasn't a 3v5 they might have tied it up, maybe even won.

Good showing against the best in the league. Getting that level of play night in night out is the difference.

  19. The stupid thing is as soon as McDavid scored the bruins tied it instantly and then took the lead and then when McDavid tied it again the bruins get the lead again the most stupidest goal I’ve ever seen. Can’t give one up with 20 seconds left in a period. I thought the oilers battled hard and McDavid got his 50th but man we couldn’t even celebrate the first goal before are goalie gives one up 20 seconds later.
