Looks like the boys saw the bottom of the standings and realized we can still tank for that slim chance of Bedard

  2. Duck_Caught_Upstream

I’m willing to say that is the final nail in the coffin

  3. CaptinDerpI

    Flames L

Help me goddamn it, I can’t do this shit anymore. Markstrom is getting no help

  4. GrafNebelgeist

    Remember that 5-0 start?

    god damn.

    All aboard the tank.

  5. Ridin_the_GravyTrain

What a horrible fuckin hockey team. See y’all again on Monday for another shitshow

  6. avmp629

By my count, they haven’t won in regulation against a playoff team since before the all-star break.

Tonight’s effort feels like the nail in the coffin for any slim playoff hopes

  7. StainedTimbit

    This team deserved that booing.

I hate that I just said that.

Better luck next season I guess.

  8. CaptinDerpI

We got booed off. Safe to say we deserve it

  9. Duck_Caught_Upstream

Did the Booing at the end get picked up on TV?

  10. Beta1224

Really emerging as a dark horse contender for Bedard

  11. undeletable-2

« Calgary » is actually an old Siksika phrase meaning « where playoff hopes go to die. »

  12. JayTalk

That was fucking pathetic. I’m fully on board team tank now. We’re currently in position to draft 12th overall, and we can easily get into a top 10 draft pick if we keep playing like this. That means we actually have a slim chance at getting Bedard.

  13. BenzMan217

They’ve been booed off home ice multiple times, this season. Can’t remember that ever happening in the past 20 years.

  14. Financial-Storage349

Kadri or the Florida trade? Which one was worse

  15. scottish_pro

put a fork in them, they’re done.

6 points out (chasing colorado – good f’ing luck with that), 19 games left. Need to go 13-6-0 bare minimum for even a slight chance, and that’s extremely optimistic (93 points, probably going to need more then that)… and this is a team that hasn’t won 2 in a row since mid January and hasn’t won 3 in a row since early December.

Not only is the math shit, but the way they’re playing seals it for me. The lack of urgency tonight is extremely concerning to me. 1 goal in six periods boys? I get that these are good teams, but this string of games has proven to me that they’re just not good enough. Sure the Wild played well tonight – but the Flames didn’t make that particularly difficult for them to do either.

They don’t show up against bad teams (which is also very concerning – do they think they’re that much better then them?), and although they seem to play better against good teams this string of games proves that they can’t keep up with them either.

5 game losing streak when the season is on the line… The only players showing up anymore are the Backlund line, the 4th line, Weeger, and Marky now I guess. Not good enough.

They deserved to be shutout tonight, and I’m glad they were booed off the ice. I’m very frustrated.

Zero passion, zero points. These guys should be ashamed of themselves. Sutter was supposed to come in and change the culture… Absolutely embarassing effort.

  17. Maclammy

I have offically decided to take a hiatus from watching the Flames possibly for the rest of this season.

I don’t care if that makes me not a true fan, but clearly we are at some sort of roadblock, and it sucks to see the boys struggle like this. 🙁

  18. FatLouieXVI

I’m done watching. Let it ruin my nights way to often and I don’t even drink!

  19. VictorHelios1

This team has zero fight. It’s “give a shit” meter is bone dry.

How many ask for a trade this off season, or just flat out refuse to renew? Last year may have been mild by comparison

  20. icecube2210

I can’t be the only one who hopes we lose most of the rest of the games of the year for a chance at Bedard

  21. cgyprj123

That was the most boring game ever…..I wouldn’t want to play for that style either

  22. FrisbeeMcRobert

I paid actual money to go to that game

  23. BeerLeagueSpode

Maybe Chucky’s « antics » weren’t all that bad to the morale. This team has no cohesiveness. They seem to hate the hockey grind.

  24. BFGSkittles

They really should have sold more at the deadline

  25. Canadeon

We are tanking… …right? Brad knows this which is why we did zero meaningful trade deadline transactions or coaching changes or try to find a player that will make Hubs play hockey again… and this was all done in the name of “deep draft” position… right??? And all the players are also in on it… right???

  26. marbsarebadredux

Fans should just boo them the rest of the season or just stop going to games. Hurt the owners where it matters. We’re all fed up with the mediocre bullshit

  27. kobedziuba

Heard there’s a pretty good prospect in the draft named Bedard , we should try to get him

  28. Paulhockey77

anyone else believe this team doesn’t give a shit anymore? This team is screaming for a coaching change

  29. cloudyboy

3 straight minutes of booing. Team deserved it. That was a pathetic performance for a feeble playoff push.

  30. likethemouse

We’re only 2 spots away from a 3.3% chance at Bedard… I mean, crazier things have happened

  31. CostcoTPisBest

Stamped out in your own barn after rest and a hard defeat. Just get the fk out.

  32. Little-Aide-5396

Naz just said he’s not a guy who quits like “most” guys on the team. Wonder who he was talking about. After the leaf game Coleman talked had a comment about guys looking forward to golf season. There’s got to be some problems in the room right now.

  33. me_hill

So who’s pumped about that Wranglers win tonight

  34. beardie88

The most frustrating part is markstrom has finally given us two decent to good games and the offense has completely dried up for him. We could win a lot of games with even a little below average goaltending and offense based on what is expected from the team on paper, but instead we either claw back into a game and lose in overtime after going down 2-0 in 5 SOG, or we play well defensively and only let 1 in until halfway through the third when we let a second goal in, but can’t score in those games.

Just a brutal losing streak here. I want something to be hopeful about. Maybe Coronato will sign and be fun to watch in the last few games but I can’t imagine he really wants to play on this team at this point, it doesn’t look like anyone does.

  35. Little-Aide-5396

Can Derek Wills and Kelly Hrudey stop being glass half full and making excuses for this team. Criticize the team when deserved and praise them when deserve. This team has underperformed in every category all year and has been given so many excuses for it

  36. azndestructo

If we win against Dallas, I’m gonna be so fucking angry. All aboard the tank train

  37. Sad, this game finally broke the Saddledome. The Boo’s were loud. No redeeming this team, this year.

  38. Little-Aide-5396

Mangiapane shouldn’t have seen the ice again after that dumb penalty 200 feet from his own net In the third period. Didn’t result in a goal but not his first time doing that
