Holy shit they were bad at hockey, haha.
This fascinates me, because I think more than any other major sport, hockey has evolved so much it’s almost unrecognizable from how it started out. Like with baseball sure the players now are faster, stronger, throw harder, etc. But the game itself still basically looks the same. Babe Ruth still absolutely clobbers HRs in 100-year-old highlight reels. But this footage looks like a low level pickup game compared to what even highschool or competitive amateur hockey players do in the modern sport. It’s improved drastically and become so much more skilled.
