Did anyone else notice on the power play that he keeps moving his feet?
This is one of the nice things about having younger players. They aren’t always as experienced or talented but they’ll make you skate. It’s harder to play against.

December’s team had a bunch of younger players due to injuries. Win streak due in part to greater speed and probably desire to prove themselves.

And I feel like it bears repeating that we gave up BOSTON’S first round pick. So it is the absolute last 1st rounder so we gave up even less than it appears

I like what I saw after 1 game, but let’s be realistic, it was the Sharks. Sharks defense is worse than ours.

Leafs fan. This guy is a very good young talent. But he’s has questions about his conditioning showing up to camp each year. The hold out and demand for playing time probably aren’t great but could just have been a Toronto issue.
He’s talented and will make some very nice plays a lot of other players aren’t capable of doing. He has an edge and likes to throw his body from time to time. He also can be prone to some baffling turnovers and getting pushed around easier than you’d like.
He‘a super young so you can probably be very confident all these issues can be ironed out so it’s not too big of an issue.
Hope he does well for you guys. I grabbed him in a lifetime pool this past offseason assuming he’d be moved eventually. What better spot is there than feeding OV on pp1?!

Definitely looking at it from a long-term perspective. Sounds like he needs to hit the weight room. But he’s 22 and that’s very young for an NHL defenseman so it’s understandable. Just hoping to at least end up with a solid top four guy for the long term. That’s what you hope to get for a low first-rounder

Just watching Sandin take shots *during* the PP made me happier than I’ve been in a long time. Can’t make goals without taking shots.
