Pelletier and daddy Markstrom will carry us to the 8th seed
Honestly while we nearly pissed it away again, overall that was the most ‘last year Flames’ this team has looked in a while. Puck movement was clean, everyone was in the right spots at the right time, and we were actually generating and finishing dangerous chances. While we gave up 4 goals, Markstrom had a solid game and made saves when we needed him to. Yeah we snuck a late goal and OT might not have gone our way, but this years team has always found ways to puke their guts up, and they actually held on this time. I’ll give them credit where it’s due.
If we can do that again against Minny (pipe dream I know) then maybe we can feel some hope for the future of this team. Tanking at this point isn’t going to change much anyways
I’m happy for the win – but where was this level of fight before? It’s pretty much 50 games too late at this point. Team should have let the stars win so we can further the tank

Toffoli’s goal made me impulse buy the Blasty alt with him on it. Been wanting it for awhile now and that’s as good a reason as any to pick one up
I think we’ve shot ourselves in the foot for this season. Making playoffs will take a lot of help.
At the same time I think statistically this year was a bit of an anomaly. It will suck if we string together some wins and miss out on playoffs, but ultimately this group is still finding their game together and it will build into next year.
That Toffoli goal was cathartic as fuck. I can’t remember another moment like that this season.
