I love me some Breezy Boi 😎

Good signing, he’s usually pretty invisible on the ice which is a minimum requirement for a young bottom pair D-man.

Some of the other AHL guys called up recently that need new contracts: Di Giuseppe (UFA), Kyle Burroughs (UFA), Noah Juulsen (RFA), Christian Wolanin (UFA), Collin Delia (UFA).
Not AHL, but Vitali Kravtsov is also an RFA.

He looked pretty rough to me last game, but I suppose he is an AHL defender.

Crazy to think that he is the longest tenured player with the Canucks org. He signed his first contract with the Canucks in December 2015.

that’s cool he’s a completely fine player and getting him for cheap is good. He’s also been in the organization forever so let’s just keep him as long as he wants to stay

I feel like he could carve out a Malik or Allen esque career

I would assume the contract is under $1.1M, so it’s fully buryable.

Has anyone else seen a deal like this, where it graduates into a one-way? That’s new to me. I wonder why they did that

Reminds me of a left handed Chris Tanev. Obviously not the same quality but his defensive mindset and poise with the puck are very Tanevesque

Good on him. By all accounts a solid pro, who will earn an NHL payday next year.

Ideally a guy who can help set the standard in Abbotsford, and play a handful of NHL games.

I always remember this was the guy we essentially got for Eddie Lack. Good to see he’s working out with our club, seems like a good bottom pairing guy.

    Canucks continue the « re-tool ».

    How nice.

    Next.

What does the two-way and one-way part of his contract mean?

I know not many ppl want to hear positives about the new regime but we should all feel good about the current development team. Brisebois still might be a nobody but in the first year under Colliton and his team he’s turning into a reliable d-man. He’s only 25 so expecting improvement is fair. Late bloomers happen. Look how solid Wolanin looks

Podkolzin since being called up has been a stud

Hoglander has taken strides defensively down in the A

    Arshdeep Bains looks extremely promising

Nils Aman started well, regressed, and looks even better now

Jett Woo finally made some strides this year. Might be nothing but seeing improvement is a positive

Klimovich is showing insane promise these days

I’m sure I’m forgetting some guys too. Combine these guys with coaches like Foote and Gonchar and you have a recipe for success. I fully expect some major surprises on this teams bottom 6 for years to come.

Allvin playing 5D chess to keep us under the cap for next year, lol.

$170k space now with 17 signed roster players.
