Disagree with the Islander game winner being called a goal. If that's not a distinct kicking motion I don't know what is. After watching the Flames get a goal disallowed because the player was stopping being called a kicking motion, the league needs to either allow all goals or only allow them to come off of a stick. With that said, the Sabres cannot play this type of hockey. They are "boys' against men. They get pushed off of the puck at will. They don't have any grinders. The Devils of the 90's would be proud of how the Islanders play. Get the lead and depend on good goal tending and the trap 2.0 to win.

poor Luukkonen, higher save percentage but still lost. if it weren't for Luukkonen the sabres would have gotten run over this game being outshot two to one. he held his team in it as best he could, but a pretty poor showing for the rest of the sabres.
