  1. Half a second more and he would have been onside with possession of the puck. He just passed it too soon

  2. Obviously you don't play hockey, there's no such thing as a little offsides, , besides in hockey that was way offsides.

  3. Good call. And hats off to Tyler for winning back to back games for the flames keeping the playoff hopes alive

  4. You can back up over the blue line if you have possession. Tough call about possession…

  5. It was a tough lose as the Wild buzzed in the third – 17-6 SOG and missed some wide open opportunities. Reaves, my heavens, 2’ out and misses. Markstrom stole that one for Calgary, kind of like the colorado game where we outshot them 43-19 but Georgiev probably played his best game of the season. If it takes goaltending like that going forward to beat the Wild, Minnesota may have a little run come the post season. There is no way the secondary scoring will continue to be this cold, snakebit whatever as the talent is now there. Boldy, another one who can’t hit a net. I know he’s 21 but he’s got to put the bisect in the basket…great game, even at 0-0.

  6. I don't know, he had possession going over the line and 1-2 seconds of time to think about passing it even, but the video reviews are killing the momentum of the game. Should be 3 min max for reviews instead of shutting the game down sometimes for 5 minutes… Also bringing everyone back after several minutes of shutting the stadium down is so awkward and looks bad… It's embarrassing really that something like this happens in a professional sport where both teams are done, gone to the dressing room wrapping up their night and then "whoops" the video review after several minutes determined its not the end and everyone comes back to play again…

  7. I agree with how the rule is currently written this is offsides- but can someone then do a side-by-side comparison with the Canucks-Stars game about a week ago where this EXACT same play was reviewed and called onside for the OT winner? In that case- stopping the puck was deemed control, which is exactly what the Wild did here

  8. Off-side all day and all night and sometimes on a 3rd Tuesday morning.

  9. Seemed off side to me but I’ve also seen calls for offside when it didn’t look like it was offside so 🤷‍♂️

  10. This same scenario happened to the Oilers this season. In both cases it was ruler the same, so there may be some consistency but I don’t understand what they consider control. Your skates can cross the line first as long as you have possession and control prior to crossing the line. The NHL needs to simplify their definitions and possibly rewrite some rules to better reflect their intention because there does seem to be different results from rules as written.
