I’m so fucking furious that I can’t feel my legs

Bold of you to think it’s just embers and not a bonfire lol

  3. This team is just very pathetic and unlikeable right now. I got free lower bowl tickets last night and could not imagine paying money to see these guys play. Even with free tickets I felt robbed of 3 hours of my time. They just dont have it this year.

Was at the game; bad luck & sloppy and predictable plays/changes dominated the night.

Also, to the people starting the wave when we’re down 1-2: No! 🤬

glad my son was happy to catch a game with dad but what a stinker! Try to stay positive for him, but even he (8 years old) is mad at how they play! This team is about to be die hard fans only in the stands and tuning in…

Why did the refs not call a single penalty last night that was next level bad

It’s embarrassing, we can’t even beat a bottom 5 team with playoffs on the line. Lots of crappy perimeter shots but any time someone had the puck in the slot we either whiff it and miss the net entirely or completely fail to get a shot off.

Also love seeing Ritchie on the 2nd line and Dube with Lewis and Lucic. Line blending I’m okay with, but why the fuck does Sutter insist on mixing the bottom 6 and top 6 around so often. If you want to get the guys going stick to the top 9, mix up the wingers and maybe someone clicks.

Part of the blame lies with the coaching and GM for sure.

However, I’m really tired of people giving Huberdeau a pass. He hasn’t been an elite player all season and even on his good nights people are praising him for looking like a solid 2nd line winger.

I don’t know what you do about it either. Either he can’t handle the pressure being in Canada or straight up quit on the team already.

I’m curious on what people think this team needs to do going forward…cause damn, *forward* is not looking so hot right now.

Edit: by forward I mean next season(s) cause you can put a fork in this one.

I gotta give it to Marky on the second goal the Ducks scored, that was a valiant effort. Makes a controlled head save (hard shot!), it bounces perfectly to the Ducks player and they shoot it in the same breath. Markstrom STILL has the state of mind to drop down and pad stretch almost all the way to the other side of the net and misses saving the goal by less than an inch! That would have been Save of the Year material easily! The team has pithy offense as usual, but at least Markstrom is performing again.

So which players (and staff) need to be moved during the off-season?

Rumour has it Muller is being discussed to take over the bench next season…

I wasn’t convinced the back to back wins were a sign of change from this team when the reason in which they won was more luck than the team buying in. Its a concern that outside the Dallas game they’ve scored a combined 2 goals in 4 games.

  13. I was happy the Flames had won the previous two games and especially happy to see Markstrom notch is first shutout, however, I have been under no illusions since the All-Star break about this team.

This team isn’t going on a streak and an easy schedule means nothing because they haven’t been able to get fired up for games against worse teams.

It is going to be status quo for the rest of the season. Maybe a wildcard team will fall apart down the stretch and we will sneak into a spot. Maybe Nashville kicks it into high gear and we end up two spots out of a wildcard spot.

It is a regrettable outcome as we have an aging team and limited window to do something with it.
