[This penalty shot](https://youtu.be/d20ETf4BZVM) will forever live rent free in my head.

Thank you DD – not the first under-appreciated player in Montreal and not the last.

DD was one of the most unfairly maligned players to ever wear the CH, IMO.

The guy was absolutely shit on by a big portion of this fan base because he was put in a 1C role. He gave 100% every single shift and had a few very respectable seasons for the Habs despite it. Wasn’t his fault that he was put in that position and he still made the most of it and always gave a huge effort.

I remember seeing the penatly shot slapper live and one of the commentary guys actually seemed upset that DD didn’t make a move. He said something to the effect that he could ‘stick handle in a phone booth’ but he choose to clap it top shelf like a fucking boss.

Godspeed DD. I’ll always have a soft spot for ya.

I thought he became goalie with the shear size of his shoulder pads.

He was a favorite of mine when he played with the Habs.

Guy was a FORCE along the boards. Always respected DD.
