I know it seems like he misses a ton, but he’s right around the same range as Kreider, Kiucherov, Pettersson and Matthews.

Why would a higher % be better here?
Difference is that those guys also score more goals when they do hit the net.
I think if Boldy spent the off-season working on his one-timers he should reach 30+ next season. He has fanned or only gets a piece of the puck so many times on the power play this season. He could score an extra 10 just on that
He’s going to fix that shot. Everyone says that even for an NHL player he is a freak athlete. I think his skating looks better this year and he will come back next year and be finishing like Johnny Sins
It makes sense to me. He does seem like a guy who’s trying to pick a corner or spot, rather than someone who’s going to rifle a puck off someone’s chest for the sake of getting it on net. He shoots a lot and he gets a lot on net. I don’t see why anyone cares if he misses some, too.

I don’t necessarily mind it much when he misses the net, I mind how often he doesn’t score on grade a chances.
