  1. would love turcotte and robertson. i find it hard to beleive la would give up on alex tho. hes was highly touted

  2. Zadina and Vrana had chemistry last year. I would like to see what happens when Vrana comes back. We could roll 3 lines

  3. Wallinder is NOT getting traded at the deadline. Nearly a 0% chance. Just stop. Prospect for prospect deals don't go down at the deadline. Teams are either looking to trade prospects/picks for immediate on ice help or to trade veterans for prospects/picks to help in a rebuild. Prospect for prospect deals are off-season or training camp moves. Repeat after me: William Wallinder is not being moved at the trade deadline. You just make yourself look foolish every video in which you bring it up. It is not a plausible scenario.

Also, I 100% disagree with your logic on Yzerman moving him this summer. Look at the past 3 drafts. Yzerman has selected 5 dmen who are 6'3" or taller in the first or second rounds of the draft in just 3 years. That's insane. It doesn't take a genius to look at that and draw the conclusion that Yzerman covets big mobile dmen. Wallinder is exactly the type of player that Yzerman is building his blueline around. He traded UP last draft to get 6'3" Shai Buium in the 2nd Rd. He's spent top 10 picks in 2 of the last 3 years on big mobile dmen. This is clearly a GM that is trying to acquire as many big mobile dmen as he can get his hands on. That makes it INCREDIBLY unlikely that he's moving on from a 6'4" mobile dman who is progressing nicely and could be in the NHL as soon as next season. Every time you bring it up you are ignoring a lot of counter logic supporting Yzerman keeping Wallinder. Your thought process on this topic is illogical.

  4. If you were a contender would you want to gamble on Zadina? No. Zadina will likely be moved, but I don't see it as a deadline type move. Moves like this are most often off-season or training camp moves. Yzerman's focus will be moving veterans for assets. I just don't see anyone targeting Zadina as a piece that improves their chances of winning the 2022 Stanley Cup. Your logic is sound on Detroit moving him, but your timing is illogical.

  5. LA and Drtroit would make for great trade partners. I think we made 2 trades with them at the draft too so there is a connection between the gm's there. Holloway and a 2nd is too much for Zadina imo, all the other Zadina trades I would rather just keep him. I bet based on Zadina's play he gets paid 1.5 mil for 1-3 years. For a player that can improve still I'd gladly retain that. Best to resign him before the deadline though don't want anyone throwing 2.75 mil or more at him. I don't like Brannstrom at all he is struggling to stay on a poor Ottawa team and is 5'9.

  6. Vlady and Nick I think will be moved. I think your asking price is reasonable and well thought out. Leddy for a 3rd might be a little high considering his struggles, but not out of the question.

I don't see Griess getting moved. He's been bad. I don't agree with your logic that teams "know he's good" based on his age and play this year. I think most GM's probably view him as washed up and I doubt many will view him as an upgrade over their current backup. His salary is a little high for a backup as well, although Detroit could retain some. At absolute most I see him bringing in a 6th rd choice, and that, IMO, is unlikely. I wouldn't want to see my team trade a 4th Rd pick for a backup goalie in his mid 30's who's having an absolutely terrible year and will likely be out of the league in a few months.

  7. Zadina is not being traded, we will likely not be trading for turcotte as he would be to expensive and honestly i wouldnt want him Larkin is a #1 center, rasmussen is shaping up into a #2 center very nicely, suter could be either a third or 4th line center as could veleno, i say trade both smiths, gagne, DDK, and ERNE away for good none of them have real talent but leave the young players who havent gotten a full 82 season under their belt alone. Zadina hasnt played a straight 82 game year nor has rasmussen, both had a lot of call ups and the shortened year last season was their first taste of being a regular on a team and that was only halfway through the season for rasmussen. i say we trade the garbage coach for a bag of pucks and a fifth of whiskey

  8. I think Shai Buium, Nick Leddy and Victor Brattstrom 2022 2nd (Washington's) for Alex Turcotte would be ideal. Shai Buium is from San Diego, California and Nick Leddy will help fill a need for the Kings current playoff push, and L.A. can use a goaltender prospect in Victor Brattstrom.

  9. The Blashill system, has killed many good players careers. He doesn't have a system, except, maybe a loosing season, after season, after season, after season.

  10. Here are some trades I’d like to see happen. Bare in mind, these obviously aren’t ALL assumed to happen, as you’ll see with my trades several players are referenced twice. Again, NOT ALL are meant to be suggested as happening at this deadline , maybe only one is even in the realm of possibility. However, I targeted the Red Wings major needs with these trades. I feel these are trades are ones Yzerman would do in order to make the team significantly better now and in the futureWith that said, here goes.

    DET Acquires:

  11. I think trading Greiss, Leddy, Namestnikov and one of Gagner/Stecher/Staal should be okay enough. And maybe we can weaponise our cap hit, asi we did last year with a Savard trade.

  12. Trade Ned back to Chicago for flower, trade dekyser away, trade stecher away as well. Rowney has been quiet as well lots of wingers to trade for…enough with the prospects so sick of players being drafted just watch them play in the Ahl for years we need breakout players

  13. I understand the Zadina trade talk, but I think it’s a Blashill problem. The system as you mentioned isn’t a great fit. Zadina has also been strapped to lines that are more defensive minded. They just finally started slotting him in the top 6 and he’s looked dangerous. A name I heard that I think would be interesting is Hertl. That allows Suter to be the third center where we can now get that combination scoring and checking on the third line.

  14. These always remind me the value of finding the right guys on draft day. The next 2 for the Wings will probably seek Cs & wingers I'd imagine

  15. No one ever mentions moving Blashill out. To me, this is a key. He is not a good enough coach to get them farther than the first round. That needs to be addressed at some point too.

  16. any interest in jeff petry? his family is there and he's been much better since the st louis hire. he can fill the role guys like leddy and staal will be vacating. and he's actually still good.

the guy i want in the return package is elmer soderblom.

i know petry's a veteran, but he's also not on an expiring contract, and the wings could contend for a playoff spot as soon as next season,

  17. Young man I am new to this YT site yet you are calm poised and articulate so you have my attention. It may not mean much to you yet I have been a WingNut since Ol' #9 retired and Mickey Redmond left us behind to become the "Dead Wings" …my point? This might be my first video with yet I too try to keep informed. When "trade deadline" chat started it was about moving Stu …the best veteran free agent defenseman we have seen since Larry Murphy. Do not know if you were on that band wagon yet such stuff has died down. Now the kick is to move Leddy and maybe the Yzerplan front office will but guess what eh? Bet you dollars to donuts they do not. Decent veteran NHL defenders are hard to come by. Leddy has watched his more offensive role as playmaker in transit on D being taken over by younger guys like MO! The longer you follow hockey you will come to realize that a defender ages he is asked and tasked to be less and less a play maker. So a veteran Chris Chelios or St. Nick are and were rare defenders indeed. The career of Larry Murphy more exemplifies the typical veteran NHL defender. Also THE HOCKEY WRITERS have reported as you now do that the Kings and the Wings should and could deal. A center for a defender deal and perhaps more than one. CAREFUL YOUNG …more than any other position on the ice our Captain played Center for how many years. There is too much emphasis on goal scoring and assists with all forward linemen among younger NHL fans. Dreaming a deal for C/F Turcotte is a nice dream. Yet NO ONE…. and I will emphasize NO ONE talks about the most important skills for a Center in winning draws consistently, forchecking to follow up playmaking as well as more importantly transitioning to Defense. So you like many media folks are calling for more Centers to fill in behind Larkin now that Zetterberg is gone. THINK. Aside from himself Yzerman played with the best two way center in the history of World Hockey in Sergei #91! That and the best grindline center and penalty killer in Kris Draper. So yes LA has a list of players called "centers" but dollars to donuts ….not one of them will interest Yzerman if he does have the astronaut/hockey equivalent of THE RIGHT STUFF. Am I exaggerating? Last year's draft and the U of M Wolverines had 2 players taken in the top 5 yes? One an All American NCAA Championship Center …did Yzerman express even the smallest interest or give the kid a local tryout? NO!!!! THINK. Why is Dylan Larkin so strong yet all the others at Center so weak? Detroit's TIME OF POSSESSION has dramatically dropped off this year while defenders like Mo Seider are setting up plays like Centers. DO NOT BE SURPRISED IF YZERMAN LIKES NONE OF THE LA CENTERS ASKING PRICE AND ALL… yet yes like you I am a fan so will it happen? Will multiple players be traded? If so I doubt Leddy is going anywhere. The Wings have been short a Defensive Assistant Coach all season long and it shows. As to Zadina ….it was the F Ned last year who had an off year and this year he has been lined up with Larkin on the top line yes? How much would and will Zadina's play improve with a better Center? Yet again like a fan I am curious to know how this trade deadline will play out. Picking up Olli and releasing DDK was a good move. Yet Yzerman remains on a youth kick so a veteran for the right price must be offered or no deal. And yes you are correct that last summer's deal to bring G Alex V to Detroit surprised everyone! Now will Alex become the next shell shocked and confidence shattered Tim Chevalde or will his play reound????? Good post and #LGRW

  18. Even as a wings fan, these are incredibly bias, no shot Zadina gets Hollowa AND a 2nd
