Suck it flightless birds.
With the loss tonight those yinzers now go up a game in the games played category.
The Penguins have to face the Rangers twice, Senators, Avalanche, Stars, and Capitals for their next six games. There are definitely some losable games then for the tuxedos.
Meanwhile we got the, checks notes, second to last place in the league Flyers next. Yeah that we do have some tough games coming up but we also have some easy ones in between that could easily be 2 points.
Lastly it feels so fracking good right now to actually have to give a shite about what other teams are doing because the Sabres have a realistic chance of making the playoffs this year, something I would never have been able to say Reddit because I joined in 2014 and y’all know the rest.

The Islanders are the ones who really need to lose. The Penguins are now 4 potential points up on them.
The Penguins would really have to collapse to miss the playoffs.
Of course, I am still happy whenever the Penguins lose though.
I would have so much more confidence if we could have beaten the, checks notes, last place in the league Blue Jackets.

Coming from a kiwi who just started following nhl, knows nothing and loves the sabers, why does it matter that the penguins lost? They’re in the other division right? Or do we just not like them?
