Why was the wheelchair outside the washroom? Like arnt their private bathrooms that can fit the wheelchair for someone to use? Typically we have men and women and then 1 disability/wheelchair accessible washroom. I’m very confused to how she got from the wheelchair outside the bathroom to the toilet inside the bathroom. Or am I just being stupid.

If you read the story she actually had limbs amputated. So that wheelchair may even somewhat new for her.
A report said the arm rest was broken and other parts were dented.
The guy in the photo is the one who carried her up and down the steps.
I hope the entire world sees what that kid did otherwise how will he learn.
Man, I tell if you, imo if Briere and his son had any sense, jr would be kissing this lady’s butt for the next year. Carry her books, yes mam, whatever you need. Have him in a dunk tank in the center of campus with proceeds going to wheelchair situations, etc… Whatever it takes.
He doesn’t need to be turned in to a circus clown but show major contriteness. Man up and take your lumps…humbleness goes a long way….
The public loves to hate and pile on someone in this situation, but they will also quickly forgive if that person admits the error of their ways and sincerely goes out of their way to make amends.
At the end of the day this incident is not the end of the world, just a stupid, douche move, that can be turned around or least made better with the right attitude.

I used to go to mercyhurst so I glad I transferred. All the hockey guys there are douches. I hope the school takes action but I’m highly doubtful.

Have Mercyhurst College announced any punishment for Carson Briere? Or are they hoping this blows over and they will not punish him at all? Or punish him for 1 game against a cupcake opponent?
My hope is that they sentence Carson Briere to pushing Syndey around for 6 months – anywhere she wants to go. That way, he will learn how hard it is to live in a wheelchair.
