  1. Devin Levi reminds me of Richter's style, athletic and not afraid to face the shooter. Devin Levi…that's a Hall of Famer name. But in this league, who knows. Seems like the first to go is the coach, then the next to go is the goalie. How will Devin adapt to NHL play? I agree it's detrimental. Look at Donnie Beaupre of the North Stars, great goalie in the lower ranked leagues and he ends up on 4 teams in a short career because "the goalie is our problem". No, you yanked this kid out of the developmental leagues and threw him in front of players who, while I was growing up, after their careers were over went on to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. Where's Donnie now? Fuck if I know.

  2. As someone who’s watched Levi play in person a few times, I think he’ll be the next big goalie to come out of North America

  3. Anderson is still doing a great job, he's just too old. Levi and UPL will be a nasty 1-2 punch, although I'm not sure either guy is even close to ready to take that starting role.

  4. Give him a season with Rochester, build his confidence and get him ready for the 24/25 NHL Season.

  5. In a perfect world he would go on a playoff run in Rochester this year then spend a full year there next year. That would probably get him ready for the NHL.

  6. A shooter Tudor for a goalie would save the Sabres. The 3 they have never seem to get the big save.

  7. I'll put two names before you….Ken Dryden and Tom Barrasso. Dryden came out of college hockey to back-stop the Canadiens to the 1971 Stanley Cup, winning the Conn Smythe Trophy, and then went on to win the Calder Trophy the following season. Barrasso went straight out of U.S. high school hockey and won the Calder Trophy and Vezina Trophy in his rookie year. Who's to say that Levi couldn't step right into the NHL right away?

  8. Not this year or next year but yeah, he looks very promising given he is having one of THE best season a college goalie has ever had, besides Ryan Miller
